The event started at 7 in the evening so Finn told me he would pick me up at around 6ish. Obviously the party has to start early so all the old people don't have to miss their precious bedtime. Whereas i'm wasting away my precious life just by going.
Do you know how much sleep I could have got if i didn't have to go?!
After trying, unsuccessfully, to wear that dress I decide that I have had enough. So I go down to get some breakfast. As I walk down the stairs the aroma of pancakes hits me.
"Gimme some pancakes!" I yell as I skip all the way into the kitchen.
Mum and dad just look at me, in silence, until they turn back to stare at each other. I am confused at first until I see their empty plates, with residues of syrup and sugar, and their full mouths. They slowly place their knife and fork down onto the plate at which point I realise they ate all the pancakes!
"What happened to saving me some?!" I ask as I shift all my weight to my right leg and place my hands on my hips.
"I'm sorry honey. They were just so good and they were just sitting there so me and your dad decided to not waste them and just eat it instead" She explains.
"Well can you make me some more please?"
"Sorry love, we used up all the batter" Dad replies after finishes his bite.
"Ughhh seriously guys, I swear" I whine as I move towards the cupboard with the cereals. "Guess i'm just gonna have to have crappy cereal then." I look towards my parents to make sure they seem ashamed for what they have done, which they look. I pour the cereal into a bowl then walk towards the fridge whilst looking away from dear mother and father.
I open the fridge to see there is no milk whatsoever.
"You used up all the milk too?!" I turn back to see both of them. They didn't reply and simply just sipped from their mugs. "Looks like i'm having toast instead. And I swear if there's no bread i'm going to jump out that window"
A wonderful start to a wonderful day.....NOT!!

I stare at the dress on my bed again. I have already showered and am wearing my robe, but I can't get anything else done without knowing if i'm going to wear this dress or not. It's too tight that i'm sure it cut of my blood circulation.
I walk towards my wardrobe to see if I have any other dress that I could wear. My eyes move to the pretty little burgundy dress that originally belongs to Alice. She let me wear it to a school dance, but I never gave it back. She never asked though. I pull it out of the wardrobe and place it on my bed next to the one that Finn got.
The burgundy dress is beautiful. It is slightly above the knees and the skirt section is flared. The entire long-sleeved garment has lace all over, with a layer of fabric underneath the skirt section and bodice which stops just before the scooped neckline. It also comes with a thin black belt. The dress itself isn't as glitzy as the black and gold one, but it was definitely much better. And it also fit me.
After wearing my clothes I decide to do a gold eyeshadow and paint my lips in a maroon color to compliment the dress. I put my hair in a low messy bun because I don't have enough time to do anything else with it as most of my time was was wasted trying to perfect my winged eyeliner. I wear my teardrop shaped earrings and two gold rings as well as my thin black watch. Picking up my black high heels and matching black clutch I go downstairs, but not before looking in my mirror.
Ugh it looks like i'm going to prom.
I walk down the stairs to see mum and dad waiting at the bottom.
"Aww. Look at my baby looking all beautiful" mum gushes bringing her hands close to her chest and looking like she's going to burst out crying any second.
"Mum. I'm not going to getting married here. I'm going to an old people party. Stop being so sentimental" I laugh as I continue walking down.
"We know honey, we're merely saying you look nice" Dad smiles.
"Well then, thanks" I reply with a smile of my own. I look at the time on my watch.
"Okay, so Finn is going to be here in a few minutes. You guys can stay in the living room. Unless you guys wanna stay and scare him a little" I look towards dad who looks at me with a confused expression."Oh my gosh, maybe you can do that whole 'if you hurt my daughter, i'll can make you disappear and no one will know what happened' threat and you can like hold a kitchen knife just so you look scarier!"
My parents look at me as if I've gone crazy.
"No. I'm not going to scare the kid to death. Him being your date to the party is bad enough anyway" Dad replies. At this point the doorbell rings. "He's here." I walk towards the door to open it but turn around to give my parents a 'go away' gesture which they luckily follow. I open the door to find Finn.
He is wearing a beautiful black, tailored suit, with a plain white shirt with two of the top buttons left open, and leather dress shoes. His blond hair look less messy and more presentable. On his left wrist there is a gold watch and in his right hand a single rose. I look back up to his face to see his ocean blue eyes staring.
"I guess you didn't like the dress" He states.
"Oh no I liked the dress, it's just that you got me confused for a barbie doll and so the dress was really, really, really small and way too tight" I retort.
"Well I'm sorry. I don't usually shop for girl's. Anyways here" He extends his hand with the red rose. I take it slowly and smell it's fragrance. "Ready to go?" He straightens his suit jacket and begins walking to his car.
I throw the rose in the bin- because there's no point keeping it since it's going to die anyway- and close the door behind me, walking behind him.
Nope. I will never be ready.
