Finn walks to his side of the car whilst I wait at the passenger side with arms crossed. Finn opens the door of the drivers side and is about to sit in until he looks at me.
"Why aren't you getting in?"
"I know it may be hard for you to act like a gentlemen but you could try you know" I retort.
"What do you mean?"
"This isn't some Justin Bieber song. As a gentlemen you should be opening the door for me. I.e. the lady. Seriously I knew you were stupid, but not this much."
"Gosh women, you're so picky" Finn shut his door and walks towards me. He opens my door waiting for me to sit in. Once I do he slams the door close with a bang and stalk his way bag to the other side. From the windscreen I can see Finn muttering something. If only my lip reading skills were good enough to make out what he was saying.
Once he gets in he turns the key and starts up the car. He signals to the right and begins to turn the wheel.
"STOP!!" I scream. The car jerks to a halt. Finn looks at me.
"WHAT WAS THAT FOR?! Scared the fuck out of me"
"You're not wearing your seat belt." I point to it.
"Seriously? That's why you screamed" He looked at me as if I was the one who was crazy.
"Er excuse me. Don't act like i'm the stupid one. I practically saving your life." I point out. "Also it's a legal requirement" I add as I look away and fold my arms on my lap. Finn turns to his right to grab the seat belt and then buckles it as he looks at me. He's probably thinking of the mistake he has made of asking me to be his plus one. I give him a sarcastic smile in return which causes him to roll his eyes and shakes his head.
We stay silent for a couple of minutes. It is the most awkward situation I have been in. At this point I remember what I was thinking about in the morning.
"Can I ask you a question?" I face Finn who is concentrating on the rapidly changing traffic lights.
"You just did" he gives a cocky smile. I narrow my eyes and continue stare. He can obviously feel the unnerving sensation. He glances in my direction before quickly concentrating back on the road ahead. He quickly clears his throat before speaking.
"Uh yeah, sure, ask away"
"How did you know where I live?" At this point Finn's relaxed expression begins to change to one of nervousness. He grips the steering wheel tighter. He opens and closes his mouth repeatedly just like a gaping fish. He gives a light chuckle which does not sound like his usual one.
"Well you see...I,you know...I kinda.... Hahha... I erm-" Finn keeps muttering pointless things that I don't understand
"You're not making any sense Finn. Even Albert Einstein wouldn't be able to figure out what your saying" Finn takes a deep breath as we stop at yet another red light. Considering the time, this traffic is obvious.
"Well I realised that I wouldn't be able to talk to you at school so I decided to find out where you live by following you after school" It takes me a minute to realise what he is saying.
"YOU STALKED ME?!?!"
"Stalking is a very serious term here. I would say it was more following without your knowledge."
"That's basically what stalking is dumbass!"
"Oh"
"I can file a harassment case on you if I want to you know" as soon as I said it Finn's face goes pale and eyes become wide. "But I'm not gonna. Especially since it's too much fussing about for me" Finn lets out an audible sigh of relief and his face begins to show some colour again.
