His lips. They were as soft as the hair that fell gracefully over his ear. They say when in love, you overlook all flaws. All these years have made it clear to me that Jin does have flaws, but I viewed them as personality enhancers. Every inch of his body is nothing but unrecognized beauty. Don't worry, Jin. I know the value in you.

Unfortunately, all good things (such as this breathtaking date) must come to an end, but that doesn't mean another good thing won't come after. It was very well past midnight when we left the serene park. We headed over to Jin's house hand in hand, and past the countless street lamps of this city that loomed above, protecting us. I wonder how many people in this city have looked at these very lamps with their lover on a night like this. I hope not many. I want this to be our thing, and ours only.

We tried to enter the house as quietly as possible, but we couldn't help but be giddy after such a lovey-dovey time together. In between "shhh"s and incoherent whispers we made it to Jin's bed. The Mario plushie on the shelf seemed to be a great substitute for the street lamps that were left outside. As I was on the floor taking off my shoes, Jin randomly collapsed to my spot and in my arms.

"Marry me. I want to start a future with you."

"Mhmm." There was no longer a need to say anymore than that. He knew my answer, and after years of thought, so did I. In these arms were all the future I ever wanted.

The sudden heap of endearment going on between us was witnessed by a certain very observant mother. The door was wide open, but Jin was facing away from it since we were hugging, so he couldn't see her. Let alone hear her, for her footsteps were ghostly quiet. As I lifted my gaze to meet hers, she did not say a word and continued to watch us. She was smiling. The small crinkles starting to form around her mouth enveloped the warm act of happiness on her face. I wonder how it felt to be a mother and see your child being embraced so tightly by someone who wasn't yourself. Mrs. Kim gave a final thumbs up in my direction and mouthed the words, "I'm rooting for you" before walking away. I never thought the day would come when I'd secretly say the words "I owe this old lady my life", but boy is life crazy. By far best wing man... uh woman, I've ever had. With the thumbs up, the small glint of her ring flashed it's final goodbye.

He finally let go of me to get some air, and Mrs. Kim was long gone. I decided I wasn't gonna tell him. He carried me to the bed and laid down as well. Now that I had the chance to see his legs in such a weird folded up position, I noticed that they were unusually long. This was my chance to make yet another joke about him.

"So daddy long legs..." I couldn't hold in my laugh. Oh God I've made some horrible pet names before but this one takes home the trophy. A spark of of red instantly trickled it's way to Jin's ears. Looks like time for a new movie trailer, "Revenge of the Window Washer Laugh 2". We were there like idiots laughing what was left of our lungs out.

"Don't ever say that again."

"Well, I mean your legs are pretty long."

He tried to fight through it, but I could see that Jin was really tired. The unintentional dozing off on my chest was well earned. I did not move an inch. I didn't want to wake such a precious puppy from his slumber. We were so close to each other I could see every detail on his face. We were skin on skin. His breathing was in perfect sync with mine. What I was living now wasn't your typical love story. Not to me at least. I truly, from the bottom of my heart, felt on top of the world with this boy. Actually let me rephrase that, with this man. I was there the whole time. I was there and saw the transition. I was there to see him grow as a person. I've never had a greater honor.

His cheeks were so soft in the moonlight. I couldn't help but stroke my fingers along them. I had to take advantage of this godly opportunity before me. His eyelashes. They looked so mesmerizing as he slept peacefully. They were long and beautiful, and I loved the way they fluttered in the slight breeze oozing from the open window. Like a butterfly. I've told him so many times about the resemblance I saw in them. Little did he know, these moments and everything we lived through would soon be the inspiration for his new song that was destined to come out years later. Butterfly, by BTS.
