Chapter 5

Renee's POV

"Calum! Wait!" I yell for him, he stops and turn towards me and I start to slow down as I got closer to him. "What do you want?!" He snaps, I flinch back at his tone. He notices and softens a bit.

"Why are you so upset?" I say quietly not trying to make him mad.

"Are you fucking serious?! You know what you did to me!!!" He hissed back.

"Calum! This is stupid! It happened 2 years ago!"I say getting a little agitated.

"Me loving you is stupid?! I know I bully you Renee, but that's because of what you did to me! You walked out o- on me. I loved you so much, so much," he ended with a whisper, before I could say anything he started talking again, "an you just left me! I know I shouldn't have listened to everyone but I couldn't help it, I was insecure! I didn't want you to leave me! And this?! You kissed my best friend right in from of me! Why would you do that?"

When I didn't answer he looked at me, his eyes full of hurt, heartbreak, and betral.  He finally broke down on his knees and started crying.

"Calum," I said with tears rolling down my face, "Calum I loved you, more than anything, but you hurt me, not just physically but emotionally to," I looked at him and he looked torn, "I love you I do and I always will," he looked at me with such hopeful eyes it hurt even more for me to finish, "but Calum I moved on, and I like Luke now, I'm sorry I didn't know you still had a little bit of feelings for me," I bent down so I was on my knees with him and gave him a tight hug, "I moved on Cal you should do the same." I kissed him on the cheek and stood up, I hold my hand out for him and he took it, I helped him up and he embraced me again, and whispered, "I'm not gonna move on, I love you to much, but I'm here whenever you need me, an I'm sorry for the bulling I really am I'm so sorry so so so so sorry," I pulled back and smiled and nodded.

He takes one more big breath and nodded at me and walked away. As I watched him walk away I see his shoulders shake slightly, it makes me break into even more tears.

I turn around to go back in the house to see a sad looking Luke watching me.

"I'm sorry I didn't know any of this would happen, I thought you knew about everyth-" I got cut off by Luke slamming his lips into mine, I kiss back but after a few minutes, I pull back shaking my head sadly.

"It's okay, I'll talk to Cal later. So you was the one he was bulling?" I nodded sheepishly, "yeah but can we not talk about this? I'm sorry I'm just not up for it."

He nodded and walked me towards the door and sat down on the couch.

"Want some tea?" I nodded shyly and when he walked off, I got my phone out and checked my messages, and shocked to see what I got.

I love you and I will get you back Reneé. Idc if your with Luke or not, he's my best friend and all but I want you back.

I looked to see that Luke is still in the kitchen and quickly texted back.

I was about to text back until Luke interrupted me, "who you texting?" He asked with a curious face, "oh no one sorry." A said I went to grab my tea, he gave me a questioning look, but I brushed it off and started drinking my tea. We sat In a comfortable silence for about 5 minutes until he broke the silence.

"Renee I need to know what happened."

"I know Luke I'll tell you soon, just not now, yeah? I'm sorry I just can't" I lean in and kiss the corner of his lips, he nods and sits back.
