Terror is more common in the world now than ever before. Death rates have more than tripled, until the population of the Earth plummeted permanently. Empty, rusted cars littered the streets until it became nearly impossible to use a vehicle.
The majority of houses were trashed, with broken windows, random bullet holes, and even corpses of the landlords. The Infection destroyed everything we knew of our world.

Grayson could barely remember how things used to be. Growing up in a changing world, he had to learn how to become a survivor.

"You think we'll find some snack lyin' around?" Everett asked Grayson excitedly, his eyebrows raised.
"I sure hope so," he nodded, as they trudged into an abandoned movie theater.

Grayson adjusted his helmet nervously. Every corner of the world held some sense of danger. The doors were all already wide open, revealing what could've either been spilled drinks or blood. Grayson's eyes darted around quickly, looking at each exit and opening in the building. One of his hands gripped a 9mm pistol, ready to spring into action. The entrance wasn't as bad as Grayson assumed it would be. For the most part, it was pretty clean. There were spills of grease and obviously expired candy by the counters where customers would purchase them, though.

Grayson put his hand up, mentioned for Everett to stay back and keep watch. He moved forward, keeping a stance more comfortable for him to pull out his weapon at short notice. His arm moved suddenly to push the doors leading to the movie screen.

Instantly, he heard loud groans of Infected. The sunset's pink glow landed on an Infected's bloodshot eyes just as it turned to look right at Grayson. Screams pierced the air as he pulled the doors shut, and rushed to stand beside Everett. They both aimed their pistols at the doors as they heard the inhumans sprinting to them.

Everett glanced at Grayson, a grin plastered onto his young face. "Make every shot count, eh buddy?" He chuckled in Grayson's direction, just as the doors burst open with brute force, revealing more than a few hungry Infected.
