{ Hey guys I added more so if you read this earlier, then just skip down and you should notice that I added a lot more. And it finally got into the action ;D Enjoy }
I had texted my mom to let her know that I would be staying after school today. She replied with the typical mom message, "Ok. Stay out of trouble and let me know when your ready."
'Ok', was my short reply.
The announcements have been going on for about a minute now and we had been packing up our books and papers. Lenice and I had been talking about something stupid that happened in her chorus class.
"So you and Blade are staying after school today huh? Do I need to stay with you crazy kids?"
"No. We're old enough to chaperone ourselves thank you", I said back with a playful smile. While in our fit of giggles, they had finally dismissed us. I walked with Lenice to the bus ramp and said my goodbyes as all of my friends' bus had pulled off.
I walked back through the building towards the library. As I'm taking my time walking, I gave myself a mini pep talk.
You can do this. It's just a few hours of working. Just work. Play it cool.
I reached the doors of the library, took a deep breath, and opened the doors. When I entered the medium-sized room, I almost immediately noticed Blade seated at one of the computers. I slowly and cautiously went over to him. I placed my backpack onto the carpeted floor as quietly as I could and sat down in the seat right beside him.
"Hey, what are you working on?", I question him as I lean over to see his screen.
"Our project obviously", Blade said sarcasticly. I glared at him as he smirked that smirk that could make a girl swoon, which I did.
"I'm just kidding. You're so serious, jeez."
"I know. And no I'm not", I snarked back with a small smile. I noticed a faint blush upon Blade's cheeks as he turned back to the computer screen. I smiled to myself as I pulled my paperwork from my backpack and placed it onto the computer desk.
---
Me and Blade had been working on the project for about an hour now and we could already begin to see the sun preparing to settle down. We had gotten so much work done. Just a few more lines of work until we were finished. On occasion, we would glance up to notice one or the other staring at the other. It was endearing. It was just when I was writing the last line that my phone went off.
"Hello?"
"Paige? Where are you? Why haven't you called me to come get you yet?" My mother. Of course. I forgot to call her and tell her we we're gonna be so late.
"Hey, Mom. Sorry I forgot to call you. We were working on our math project and weren't paying attention to the time", I say in whisper," We're about to leave soon though because it's time for the school to close down for the night."
"Alright, just make sure you remember to call me ok? I'm at the store right now so I'll come pick you up soon."
"Alright bye."
"Bye." With that, the phone call ended. Blade looked over to me, eyebrows raised in question. "My mom said it's getting late so she's going to pick me up after she leaves the supermarket", I say, answering his question.
He nods in underdstanding and continues typing. He then reaches over and grabs my hand to get my attention. I jerk away from his touch out of reflex and slighty blush. I look over to see him looking at me in confusion and a slight bit of sadness. Blade pointed to his screen.
"How does this sound?", he asked motioning to his neatly typed, double-spaced report paper he had written to complete the project. I leaned over closer to read it and nodded in approval.
"It's really good. Nice job, Blade", I smiled. I then realized that I was basically on his lap. I looked up to see him blushing, his eyes moving from my eyes to my lips as he slowly began to lean in.
"So", I said, quickly moving back over towards my own computer," Let's print these babies out and get out of here!"
The regret in his eyes visible as he turns towards his computer and begins printing out the work.
---
We finished up the printing and we were walking outside to wait for the arrival of our parents. Blade and I sat down on a bench outside in an awkward silence. From time to time, we would glance up at one another and faintly smile.
"Paige I-", Blade began, but I cut him off.
"Look, Blade. I'm sorry if I made things awkward back there. I was just nervous. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, I just-", but he had cut me off with a sweet, gentle kiss, his hands softly reaching up and cupping my face. I, shocked, soon relaxed and kissed him back, flickering my eyes closed and reaching my arms up and around his neck.
After a few seconds of face snuggling, the kiss was broken and we were both left heaving and panting for breath.
In unison, we both muttered breathlessly,"Wow."

Hey guys! So what did you think of this chapter? Too cliche? Too stupid? Too lame? Too anything? Just comment and let me know what I should do to make the next chapters better and more realistic. Need I remind you guys that this story is based off of true events, minus the falling in love parts and the project part and anything that has to do with relationships... But a girl can dream right?
As usual, rate, comment, and vote! I love you all so much ♡♥♡
