It had been a long day filled with hard work, lame teacher jokes, and some free time with friends. It is now time for last block, A.K.A. , my math class with the beloved Blade. The bell had yet to ring to signal we need to speed up.

I was outside of the school with the JROTC students. Mariah, Diamond, and I were outside waiting for our friends to exit their trailers. In the meantime, I would check out River and his group of friends from time to time.

My heartbeat would race whenever I caught his glance. His hazel green eyes piercing into my very existence. Just as Mariah and I were yelling gibberish at one another for a chuckle, our friends exited the trailers in their class formation and scattered towards different classes.

Eric, who just so happens to be the son of my girl scout leader, walked over, embracing us into seperate hugs. Stephan, who is part Irish, came over, following Eric's motions. I loved to hear him do his impression.

"Hey guys. Whats up?", I say after welcoming them.

"Class was boring today. And it was hot outside but they still made us march", responded Eric. I then gestured for him to allow me to get on his back. He crouched down and I hopped on his back.

"Oh Eric! Gettin' some!", said one of his friends. I felt my cheeks begin to rise in heat. Yeah, I do kind of have a crush on him. But he's no Blade.

I glanced down at my phone and realized that we didn't have much time before the late bell rang. I hopped off of Eric's back and picked my bookbag up from the ground. I informed Mariah of the time and we sped class.

Once we got close to our classes, we parted ways. I then walked into my math class. As soon as my butt hits the seat, the bell rings.

Me and Lenice were talking about God knows what when Mr. Myers walked into the class, closing the door behind him.

"Alright, get into your pairs and get to work", he says, clapping his hands together.

Blade and I got up and moved with the rest of the class to the only empty seats left, in the back of the classroom. We had gotten a lot of work done, but still had a lot more to finish.

"We are definitely not finishing this today", I sigh. I push my fallen strands of hair behind my ear. I glance up to just catch him turning his eyes away from me.

"Yeah, you're right. We've only got three more days until it's due Friday."

"True. So what should we do?", I ask. He seems to be contemplating his next sentence in his mind before speaking.

"Maybe we can stay after school today and work on it in the library."

My heart froze, my eyes slightly widened, my back stiffened, and my blood ran cold. He wants to be alone, with me, after school, alone. I quickly pulled myself together before he could notice.

"Yeah, sure. We can do that", I smiled.
