Leo

Pain is all I feel. I literally have fifty needles in me trying to sedate me. The doctors haven't left me alone since I woke up from my coma about four months ago. Ever since then, the government has locked me up in this cell/hospital room. They claim something is wrong with me. They're right; and now my whole life is upside-down.

I've developed special abilities. I know that sounds crazy, but it's true. My strength is almost uncontrollable. I can lift well over a ton, which scares me to death. I know this because some government agents placed me in a room and dropped a car on me. I caught it flawlessly and didn't even struggle with it. Then I did the same thing with an 18-wheeler and a wrecking ball.

So now I'm strapped to a hospital bed, with almost fifty needles pumping so much fluid in me that it would've killed a normal human being. They were trying to knock me out. Nothing is working. I'm too strong for the medicine. I feel like I'm the Hulk and doctors are trying to sedate my uncontrollable, giant green body. I'm trying my best not to jump up and kill everyone. It's not working very well.

The restraints snapped open and I jumped off the bed. My speed and strength was no match for those doctors and government agents. It's like I turned into a ninja when I came out of my coma. Well, now it's time to use my ninja skills to get myself out of this freakish hospital. I made a run for it.

I know the situation is crazy and scary, but I was having the time of my life running through those long hospital hallways. I felt like a runaway convict escaping prison. My laughs and shouts filled the halls, with me thinking about how crazy and immature I was. Hazel was right. I really am crazy and retarded sometimes.

Oh my god...Hazel! How could I forget about her? I'm so dumb! I mean, I know I just woke up from a coma a few months ago and lost a large portion of my memory. But I could never forget Hazel. She could be dead right now, or even worse, being tortured like I was. I wonder if the same weird things have happened to her like me. I need to find her fast.

The huge mob that was once right behind me had fallen behind even further. It seems my speed has improved tremendously, as well as my strength. What did those doctors do to me? Did they cause me to be this way, or did something else cause it?

I was too busy looking behind me that I ran right smack into a small body. My incredible strength and momentum I had caused a much powerful impact on our colliding bodies. The body collapsed to the floor with a huge thump. I then discovered the body was a girl, since she was so frail and her long, black hair was all in her face. I knew I had to help her up, and it would be wrong to run off just because I had a mob chasing me. After all, judging by her hospital gown, she's a patient.

"I'm so sorry! Are you alright?" I grabbed her arm and lifted her up to her feet. Then I finally recognized her.

Hazel looked like she had been run over a thousand times by a truck. Her black hair was frizzy and all over the place, plus it was longer than the last time I saw her. Her face wasn't radiant anymore, and was dull and dead-colored. She looked like she hadn't slept in weeks. Hazel looked like a completely different person.

What made me recognize her so clearly was her perfect hazel eyes. They never changed.

"Leo!" Hazel sighed in relief and wrapped her arms around me. Her hug was weak, but you could tell she was longing to see me. In fact, Hazel never hugged people. She wasn't the type of girl to express her love in a mushy kind of way. It was an extremely weird feeling, but it felt right. I felt bad for her. Especially since she's gone through so much and has been asleep so long.

"Hazel, thank God you're okay," I said and smiled at her. She smiled back at me and laughed to herself. When she smiled, I knew she was the same Hazel. "So what happened to you? Have you been in a coma like me? Do you have crazy powers?"
