Dany felt the cold crawl up her skin again and again, he has been in the North for weeks now and the cold still makes Dany shiver even when Lady Manderly gave her a heavy fur coat to wear as a gift. In fact she wore two gifts, the coat from Lady Manderly and underneath it was from Lady Olenna, a Targaryen armor fashioned from the old armor of Targaryens used to wear in war,  though it was too heavy when she wore all of it so she only put on the gorget with a dragon crest, a hauberk covering entire body with two pauldrons on her shoulders, a plackart and faulds, it was coated in black and silver. A sword came along with the gift but Dany refused to carry it.

The air she exhales freezes every time she breathes which adds to the cold that touches her face. She looked up and saw Drogon and Rhaegal flying overhead, the flap of their wings create a strong breeze below. When they passed by villages, all the folk there looked at her dragons in amazement but none of them came to her and knelt, no praises, no bowed heads, only eyes that looked at her.

Now she is only hours away from Winterfell with her army, men who are near to freezing to death. Marching through the night was all to make sure they arrive as fast as possible. Besides her army needed to keep moving, winter storms could come and trap them in lands they barely know.

Beside her was Ser Jorah while as for Theon, he already rode ahead with his scouts but he surely will return anytime now. Behind her was sworn Queensguard but most of them were strangers to her, it was Tyrion who picked them for her. And behind them were mounted knights from the reach and Dorne, the Dothraki insisted to come and now perhaps regretting their decision for the cold has already taken its toll on them and their horses.

"We should rest, my Queen" Jorah said to her. "More of the horses might succumb to the cold"

"We'll rest in Winterfell" She said. "If Jon Snow permits us"

"You are the Queen . . ."

"And he is the King, Northerners are loyal"Dany looked at him, "Like you"

Jorah smiled and nodded, "Just over those hills, we'll see Winterfell"

Just as Jorah pointed, Theon arrives with his outriders over the hill, he looked shocked and anxious. Their horses galloped swiftly down the snowy slope and rejoined the army.

"What is it?" Dany asked Theon.

"We better hurry your grace" Theon replied, "He is asking for you"

"Who?" Dany asked but quickly realized who Theon meant.

On his horse. Jon waited for Daenerys' coming, carrying only his sword and the banner of his house planted on the ground behind him. He saw outriders up on the hill awhile ago but left quickly. For a moment he thought he saw a familiar face but disappeared before he could be sure. He heard their horses neighing over the hill, the march of their boots in rhythm. The heavy beat of the drums sounding like thunder.

Just as he thought he was going to see them first, a black shadow, huge enough to block the light all over. His horse panicked but he managed to keep it in control, the dragon roared at him as it landed and he even saw flames beginning to form in its giant mouth filled with sharp teeth. Scales covered its entire body, its wings spanned long and powerful.

Jon looked up and saw another dragon circling above and sweat began coming out of his skin. Horns blew from the other side of the hill and as he turned, he saw the Targaryen banners rising from the hills and armored knights carrying them. In a matter of minutes the hills were covered with soldiers, banners and pikes.
