"You never gave a damn about what I wanted," I said.
"You're right, I didn't. And I was wrong."
"Why are you really here Livia?"
At that moment her phone rang. She answered it quickly, walking away from me, talking lowly to the person on the other end. When she came back over to me, she inhaled deeply, taking my hands in hers.
"Livia, what's going on?"
A small smile crept onto her face as she looked up at me. "I'm pregnant," she said.
"You're what?" I asked, happiness flooding my body.
"I'm pregnant," she repeated.
I quickly pulled her into me, hugging her to me. She buried her face into my chest, tears streaming down her face.
"Livia, baby, I don't know what to say. Hell I feel so stupid for how I've been acting towards you. I promise I'll make it up to you."
"Roman, I'm not ready. You were right," she mumbled into my chest.
"Baby, neither of us are ready, but we will do this together."
Pulling her down onto the couch with me, I pressed my mouth to hers, cupping her cheek in my hand. Breathless she said, "I love you."
"I love you too, Livia."
"What are we going to do?" She asked, as I pressed my hand to her stomach.
"Well first off, we are getting a bigger place. And then we need God knows what for the baby."
"And we have to tell our families."
"Let's wait a little while to tell them though. They'll probably wanna kill me for being an idiot."
She buried her face into my chest, "Livia, you ok?"
"Morning sickness," she mumbled.
I rubbed her back and stomach, "How about some crackers or ginger ale?"
She nodded. I moved her to the couch, hurrying to the kitchen, grabbing a pack of saltines and a glass of ginger ale. Returning to the couch, I handed her both, before moving her back to my lap. After a few saltines and the ginger ale, she finally started to feel better. "Thank you," she said.
"Anything for you baby. We should start looking for a place, and by the way, you are staying here right?"
"Yeah, why wouldn't I?"
"Well we do need to go get you something to wear, because we both know if you wear anything shorter than this, I'm not gonna guarantee we'd make it out of here."
Setting the stuff aside, she turned to straddle me, her arms winding around my neck. "I've missed this," she said seductively. Her fingers trailing down my chest, as she bit her lip.
"Livia," I said, gripping her hips, "you're beautiful."
She pressed her mouth to mine. As my arms wound around her waist, lifting her as I stood, there was a knock on the door. "Figures," I muttered.
Carrying her to the door, she opened it, "Well I guess this answers where you went, errands huh?" Her brother asked.
"Shut up."
"Hey Roman," he said smirking.
"What are you doing here?" Livia asked.
"Well I was on my way to work, and I saw your car here. Kinda far from the doctors office don't you think?"
"I was already there, then I came here."
"So what did the doctor say? You pregnant or what?"
He started laughing, as Livia smacked him, "How'd you know?"
"Sis, you're not quite good at hiding things. When we were talking earlier, you were completely distracted, you looked as if you were going to puke, and you were defending him."
"Oh."
"Defending me huh?"
"Someone was missing you like crazy."
"She's not the only one. And by the way, I'm sorry I was being an asshole yesterday."
"Not a problem man, I know it was because the two of you were miserable."
"I think we're good now," I replied.
