Mr. Lawler gave me a B- on my science project and that's not so bad. My sister, Ashely, said it was a good idea for a diy or whatever. I have no idea what she was talking about but I'm pretty sure it means it was good. Hopefully at least. The rest of my day wasn't quite as sucky as it usually is but, I did still have my shift at Starbucks. Yes, I know that I'm that cliché guy that works at Starbucks. Don't bombard me. It's only a job.
I'm running the register as Miranda walks in. Miranda thinks she's my girlfriend but really we were just neighbors as kids and coincidently got into the same college.
Miranda:" Hey, cutie."
She gives me a kiss on the cheek.
Me:" So, what can I get you?" I ask awkwardly.
Miranda:" A latte and a date with you."
Me:" Umm.. latte coming right up and date coming... never"
She scowls.
Me:" How would you like to pay?"
I scan her phone and she doesn't say another word.
