Me:" Babe? What's the matter?"
Liam's crying softly.
I scoot over to him and hold him.
Me:" Liam, what did your dad say?"
Liam:" My mom is dead."
I can barely understand him because he's crying so much.
Me:" You know I'll always be here for you right?"
He mumbles a yes through the tears.
I kiss his cheek and wipe away his tears.
Liam:" Can we get coffee or something? I really need to get all of these things off of my mind."
Me:" Of course. Starbucks?"
Liam:" Yep, I get discounts so that'll help."
We laugh a little bit.
Me:" Sounds great."
We just walk to Starbucks because why not. Liam keeps his arm around me the whole way there and I'm worried that he's going to be scared to leave anyone else.
I finally break our silence.
Me:" So, what do you usually get?"
Liam:" I usually just get a hot chocolate because I don't like coffee that much."
Me:" So you work at Starbucks and you only drink the hot chocolate?"
Liam:" Yes, I'm the weirdest person ever,"
We laugh.
I love when Liam's more laidback.
I really hope he can cope after this is over.
