So Quiet You Were

Water Fun

~Kayla’s POV~

My boys and I got the supplies to go tubing along with the water guns and anything else water friendly we could find. Slade was bringing the boat out when I saw a very excited Jaime already in the lake splashing Tony.

“DUDE! Come on quit it!” Tony yelled while trying to dodge the water that was heading his way.

“PANTERA” Jaime yelled. I laughed so hard that I dropped the water guns I was carrying and fell to the ground while clutching my stomach.

“Whoa, Kayla’s dying over there!” Mike said while pointing in my direction.

“This is the perfect opportunity to throw her into the lake. She won’t be expecting it!” Jake whispered to Gabe and Lance. They agreed to help him out with his evil plan. They crept up behind me while I was collecting myself from my laughing fit and picked me up. I was screaming for them to put me down.

“Oh, we’ll put you down…in the lake!!” Jake yelled back at me and the three of them dropped me in the lake.

I got out of the lake and just stood there, soaking wet. The lake was freezing.

“You guys are so dead.” Slade said with a smirk on his face.

I glared at Jake, Lance and Gabe, but instead of killing them, I walked over and gave them all a huge bear hug. I smiled to myself as they began to scream from the cold water I had transferred to them. When I finished exacting my revenge, Kellin and the rest of Sleeping With Sirens ran into the lake along with Pierce The Veil.

The day at the lake was pretty fun. Jaime, Tony and Kellin were the first to go tubing. The tube could hold three people at a time so they all went together and Jaime ended up pushing Tony off because he thought it would be funny. Tony got revenge later when he was steering the boat and Jaime was still on the tube. Tony drove so fast and made quick turns so that Jaime was eventually thrown off the tube because he couldn’t hold on any longer. It all ended with them wrestling in the water like children. The boys hung out with Gabe and Jack from Sleeping With Sirens and Justin and Jesse hung out in the boat most of the time. I hung out with Mike and Vic for the most part. They told me a bunch of stories from their childhood. Vic told me a story about how he was opening a Christmas present for Mike that was from their parents. The present was drumsticks that had cords attached to them so that when you hit them, they made noise. Well apparently Vic cut the cords that made noise while he was opening the package and completely ruined Mike’s gift. Mike laughed at the memory and I joined in. It was really fun hanging out with them. They were really nice.

Just when Mike and I stopped laughing, I felt something on the back of my head. I turned around to see Justin smiling widely at me. I noticed he had a water gun in his hand aimed at me.

“Ohhh noooo! You are not shooting me with water, no way!” I yelled while holding my hands up as a shield.

“Dude, you’re already wet!” He yelled back at me.

“True, but my face and hair aren’t! And I know you are going to aim there!”

“You’re totally right. I was going to aim for your face.” He said while shooting at me again laughing loudly.

“That’s it!” I said while grabbing a water gun for myself and aiming it at him.

“WATER FIGHT!” Vic yelled and everyone got water guns and water was spraying everywhere.

The dogs eventually ran into the lake and tried to catch the water in their mouths. The fight ended when all of us were to tired to even hold our weapons. We decided to gather up all the toys and bring the boat and tubing supplies back to shore. After we finished, we went inside and collapsed on the couches in the living room. Jaime was out in no time and so were most of the others. Justin and I were the last ones to fall asleep. We were lying on the same couch about to fall asleep. He whispered “Good match, but I won.” I smiled and said “In your dreams.”

“So be it.” He smiled back and fell asleep probably dreaming about the water fight again and how ‘he’ won. I took one last look around the room and smiled at the people who inhabited it. I was so lucky to be sharing a mansion with some of my favorite bands.
