I was in the training yard. I had been sharpening the swords and monitoring the survailence system. I had to find her. I had my blame on Chrystanni. I knew it was wrong to blame her. How could I blame my Goddess? She gave me everything and she deserved everything. Molly was gone now because of that stupid spell. I heard the doors open. I walked out of the shed to see who it was. Fiona. I hoped she had something useful to say.
"Meeting in the throne room, now." she turned and returned the way she came and i followed behind her. I had a feeling i was getting some news and It wasn't going to be good. Shit was about to get crazy, I could just feel it. As we reached the throne room, Chrystanni waited. She was getting worse. Her skin pale as the white dress she wore. She was fighting just keep her eyes open. She was frail and weak. We had to do something.
" My children, the time to act is now. I'm afraid we have less time then we bargained. This is my fault and I;m sorry. Molly has been captured. She is being held at Darkstead. You must hurry before she is moved to the Underworld. Take whatever supplies you need and go. This our only chance." before we left we bowed because there was a chance she wouldn't be here when we returned.
" My Goddess, we will get our revenge. We will kill Demetrius." i told the Goddess
"Stay smart and fight strong, Fiona never forget what your capable of. Now go."
I went dressed in my my armor and readied my weapons. I waited for Fiona. She met me in the training yard wearing a robe and a satchel. Man was our gear different. We made our way into the Dark Woods. There was no talk between us on the way. All my focus was on finding her. I couldn't fail. This was the moment I've trained for all these years. My duty, my destiny was protecting Molly. I feel like Ive already failed. I had to find her before it was too late.
"Fiona, this is taking to long. We need to act fast. Do you have a spell or something.?" I inquired , getting agitated.
"Oh David, I always have something. Give me your hand and close your eyes.and count to ten."
I did as always told. Even in moments like this. Fiona was extremely optimistic and peppy. I wonder how she pulled that off.
"Ok, David. Were here. We should be stealthy."
"Fiona, you rock." i said a still amazed by her teleportation methods.
"David, whats your plan?"Fiona asked
"Im going to take out the guards at the door."
"No, let me." she said.
"Fine. Go for it." i told her.
She didn't even chant. She just exstended her arms, palms out. A fog formed around the guards. The magic encircled them and put them to sleep. That was nice. I really wanted to kick some ass but there would be more to come. We made our way to the large doors. Once we were inside. I had an eerie feeling. It was too quiet. There should be somebody trying stop us. I stayed on my guard as we made our way to the end of the hall. There was a door. I had my sword ready. Fiona did the honors and telekinetically opened the door. It was a large round room with a winding staircase in the center. There was about 10-15 alerted guards. I was done waiting. I jumped through the air and put my sword into the first guard. Backstabbing the second. My fury made me untouchable. slicing here stabbing there. i watched their blood drain onto the floor. It felt good to fight again. I missed the adrenaline of taking down a foe. The thrill of winning but more that that I missed Molly. We took the stairs and went down to the bottom.
