What is he hiding from....

I could hear rushing water, the wind slightly howling, leaves rustling. Then all the memories of Jessica's box, Jessica, and Connor. I bolted straight up it took a second for my eyes to adjust to the scenery around me. Where am I? Tall pine trees soared in the sky, the water was crystal clear from the waterfall, the air smelt of strawberries and pine. I felt someone up a hand in my shoulder I turned my head to see Nathan his eyes a calm purple.

"He's gone Skylar." My heart dropped, I felt sick to my stomach. I grabbed Nathan's arm for support.

"W-What do you mean gone?" my voice barely a whisper.

"Jessica said she killed him. His pack took action after finding out Jessica was working with J and killed her.

(a/n: her brother is J) They declared war with the 2 packs and we evacuated as soon as we heard the news." It took my a second to process this new.

"Where are we then?" I whispered in a strained voice trying to fight back the tears.

"This is your land."

I walked down the long hallway searching for the office they had picked out for me. Conner was gone my mate was gone. I opened the double red doors at the end of the hallway. A wooden desk sat in the middle of the room, to giant book cases stooped against the back wall, wall size windows let sun pour in. I sat down in the chair laying my head in my hands.

Why did things have to end this way! Why does my life have to be so messed up can't I just have a break for 2 mins without someone dying! My door flinged open and Blake came in. 

"We have found a trespasser in the northern woods alpha." I stood up and sighed 

"Okay you and Nathan will come with me, meet me outside in front of the house in 10 mins no later!" he nodded his head and left.

I shifted, I haven't shifted for a long time it felt good to though. I paced around the yard waiting for Nathan and Blake to hurry up. They came running up to me already in wolf form.

'ready?' 

They nodded and we took off into the woods.

We had been running for a good 30 mins when we came across another scent an odd one a different one. One that could not be recognized for we had not smelt this scent before. We followed the scent into a clearing there in the middle of the clearing stood a girl. Brown wavy hair, golden eyes, about 5'9. 

'Who are you?' I asked 

'Victoria and I'm here for Alpha Skylar's pack." 

'That would be me but what are you, you give off an odd scent.'

"I'm a Hybrid half werewolf half vampire."

"Well welcome to the pack." She nodded. So now we have Blake, Alex, Nathan,Scarlett, Victoria, and me. I guess it's time to meet the council.

Back at the house I called a pack meeting. 

"As we all know we were called to meet with the council after we had formed a decent pack. I don't know what they want or what lies ahead of us but, its something big if the council is involving us. War has also broke out between  those 2 packs my brothers and....Conor's pack. I think it might be best if we got involved form an alliance. So we will first go to the council in the morning and then get involved with the war." 

"Do you really think its for the Best if we got involved sister?" 

"My pack and were gonna do what I say if you don't like it you can leave!" everyone sat without saying a word.

"Be ready at 5 am sharp any later and you will be left behind were on a tight schedule. Meeting dismissed." I got up and left and went straight to my office. 

I opened my door to my office and was greeted by a letter. Great I bet someone else died. I ripped open the letter and it read.

My dearest Skylar,

I have not left you nor am I dead. I've been watching ever since you got here. I must stay in hiding though for you and I's safety. Baby please listen to me we will be together soon just...not now.
