Ignore him.

"Ignore him." Prince muttered like he'd taken the exact words from my mind. We were at his bedroom door.

I tried to do just that, but that didn't stop me from feeling the tension that arrived.

"Cousin." I heard Dre say. I could feel Prince's glare on me before I turned to face Andre.

"I said, ignore him." Prince's calm voice was low as his door opened. "Go sit on the bed." He instructed.

"Me?" I turned to ask with a bit of an attitude.

"I was talking to Kendall." He said, with an eye roll, stooping over to let her down. I noticed her run in the room and over to his bed. "...but yeah you too." He said, matching my tone. "Since you don't know what ignore means."

"Where y'all been all night?" Andre asked, stepping towards us. His head hung over a little, like he'd caught us red handed. Normally his grin would have been playful but his face was laced with irritation.

"Why?" I asked, looking up at his tired eyes. I wasn't use to having awkward encounters with him. My heart had already sank, when I noticed he hadn't gotten over anything from my last visit. He hadn't even forgiven me, and that was evident by the disapproval in his eyes. I just wasn't sure exactly what I'd done, other than lie. Or maybe that was it.

"For all you know, we could've been here." Prince's voice spoke beside me. "Not that it should concern you."

"Your living under my roof. Eating my mama's food and fucking my cousin. Everything you do is my concern." He snapped back, a large vein had become visible on the side of his head.

My eyes had gone completely wide at his words as I'd lost my own. His words had come with a sting. "Dre-"

"What? It's obvious y'all fucking you took his side over your on family. What the hell is wrong with you girl."

"Don't talk to her like that." Prince said, raising his voice. His hand rose to push me in his room as he stepped up to Andre. "Move." He said, dismissing me. I moved back into place in the hallway almost as soon as he did.

"I'm not taking any bodies side..." I said, noticing the rage in his eyes. I cleared my throat, as I waited for his response, there was none. His focus wavered between Prince and I. My focus turned to Kendall who was sitting on Prince's bed with the phone's receiver pasted to her face, apparently not bothered.

"You don't know what we're doing." Prince said.

"Oh yeah, I got a pretty good idea." He said, rubbing his palms together.

"Can't you just let it go?" I asked, partially pleading, not wanting anything out of control to happen.

"No. You lied to me for months. I wouldn't have did that shit to you." He said, not taking his eyes of Prince. "...an for what? This nigga? You must feel stupid."

"It's over now, there are no more lies-" I said.

"You don't have to explain nothing to him." Prince interrupted. "I'm the one who asked her to lie to you, so your mad at the wrong person."

"Not really, I don't fuck with either one of y'all." It sounded as if Andre's harsh tone was intended to hurt.

"So why are you trying to get her to talk to you?"

"That's my cousin fool." He spat.

"So you do care." Prince argued.

"Fuck you."
