You've got to have a villain and they'll always make me a villain. I'm used to it - it makes me work harder and it makes me fight harder.~Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Waking up by falling out of your bed is painful. Annoyingly painful. Because one moment you're sleeping soundly, warm and safe, and the next, you're, to quote Taylor Swift, lyin' on the cold hard ground.
I thudded to the floor, falling on the rough carpet. Groaning, I tried to get back up to go to bed, but ended up just staying on the ground, trying to fall back asleep. After about fifteen minutes of trying, I conceded that I wasn't going back to sleep, and got up to shower.
While I was brushing my teeth, I picked up my phone and scrolled through my messages and notifications. I saw that Dylan had sent me a text saying her was going out with Emma, and I bit back a small flush of jealousy when I read the words. I didn't have a right to feel that way, he had gone to Emma.
I responded to all of my emails from my professors and my texts, which took about an hour, since I procrastinated on everything.
Finally, I slumped on the couch and turned on the TV, an action which I immediately regretted. The sound of the city blared through the screen, coming from the news coverage of everyone getting ready for the New Year's Eve countdown, which was still 8 days away. God, people get way too obsessed about the holidays.
I turned down the volume and closed my eyes, trying to fall back asleep. I was really exhausted from last night, and I was starting to think about handcuffing myself to my bed so this didn't happen anymore.
I hugged the pillow close to my body, burying my face in the cushion. It was soft and warm, and felt really good. Just then, my phone began to buzz constantly, signalling that someone was calling me. I glanced at caller ID and saw that it was Calli.
"Hey Calli. What's up?" I asked.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME ABOUT HER PARTY!" She shrieked, right into my ear.
"Ow." I said indignantly, jerking the phone away from my ear. "Who's party?"
"Emma's!" She screamed. I set my phone down on the couch and put it on speaker. "Sorry about that." I said.
"Sorry?" She exclaimed. "I had to find out from Jake! And we haven't even gone dress shopping." She gasped theatrically. "Oh my god, we haven't even gone shopping yet. You stay right where you are, I'm coming over." She said.
I rolled my eyes and got up, where I unlocked the door and braced myself for Calli to come in. She entered about ten minutes later, coming in like a hurricane. She seized my arm and dragged me out the door, grabbing my purse and my keys at the same time. I dropped in my phone in my purse and stumbled after her.
"Calli, what the hell are you doing?" I asked, jerking my wrist out of her iron grip. She rolled her eyes as if it was completely obvious.
"Siena, we need dresses for the party. And it's a Christmas party. Therefore, we need new dresses." She explained.
"Would someone please explain to me why I have to wear a dress. I don't want to. Can I not?" I complained, buckling in the seatbelt of Calli's car. She wrapped her hands around the steering wheel and turned to face me. Normally, I would be nervous in this situation, but her car was a convertible, and the cold air was in my face, helping me breathe.
"Look, I know that you're not big on the whole dress thing. Fine, I'm ok with that. But I don't want you to wear a dress because you don't want to. I want you to wear a dress because you think you look nice in it. That's all I care about, and I just want you to come with me while I find an amazing dress."
