Aria
The moonlight dance. My first dance ever, I was excited to go, I had no date but does that really matter? I always dreamed of going with the perfect guy but that won't happen. I was interrupted by the sound of snapping fingers.
"ARIA! Hey!" Carmen screamed out.
"Yeah?"
"Who's taking you to the dance?"
"No one at the moment." I gave her a small smile.
"I might ask this one guy that really cute and he's in my math class, his name is Logan." I tensed at the sound of his name. She was gonna ask my crush. I froze for a second before coming back to reality.
"Really?"
"Yeah." She blushed
"You should ask him." I said confidently.
"Maybe I will." Her cheeks were still pink but her eyes filled with confidence. I gave her a sheepish smile, she got up and walked over to his table, I was sad that she was asking him. But instead of a frown on my face there was a big smile. I saw her smile grow and she wrapped her arms around him, he hugged back, I saw him glance in my direction but I quickly looked away. Carmen came back she seemed excited.
"He said yes!!" She squealed.
"So I've heard." I said sarcastically rolling my eyes.
"What's wrong, Aria?" She asked me, I can hear the sadness in her voice, I frowned but then put on a fake smile.
"Nothing, I still don't know who to ask."
"I know! You can go with Logan and I!" She grinned, I didn't want to ruin her date with him.
"But I don't want to intrude or anything."
"You won't!" She winked, I smiled a little and threw away my food before walking out, not even caring of Carmen was following, I just a wanna get this over with.
"If I don't get a date then I'll go with you." I joked and she laughed and wrapped an arm around my shoulder. We headed off to class.
