        I was getting ready at home by myself, Ashlee was already there along with Stella and Amber. Ash was taking her cousin as a date. I sighed at myself in the mirror. The girl that was in the mirror looked nothing like the girl I was back in junior high. I was wearing tons of makeup, courtesy of Skylar and her friends. My hair was shiny and straight. My eyes looked bolder and more doll like. I wore the dress I bought, something that made me look, more mature, Ashlee even gave me her push up bra. I was ready for action.

        Skylar dropped me off and I headed inside. Ashlee look mad, I wonder why.

        "Ash what's wrong?" I asked her.

        "What's wrong is that little skank stealing my thunder!" Ashlee glared at Aria. The nerve of Aria! I can't believe I ever called her my best friend. I have no idea where I would be if Ashlee didn't invite me to the mall that day, or if Skylar didn't give me a makeover at the beginning of the year.

But she was there for you through your toughest times my mind said.

Shut up mind!

        I brushed myself before scanning the room and finding some guy to dance with. Who says I can't have fun before hanging out with Max? *wink wink*. My hazel eyes settle on a cute boy towards the back of the room. I approach him and he gladly takes my hand.
