From Geek to Chic

Chapter 29

        I was chatting with Anna and Julianna while Zach was at the bathroom when Carmen came up to me.

"Hey!"

"Wow, Carmen you look so beautiful!"

"You think so?"

"Yeah"

"I love your dress!" Carmen commented

        Logan came over and kissed Carmen on the cheek. My stomach tightened. I don't know why because Zach is so amazing. Maybe I still had feelings for Logan even if I liked Zach too.

        Luckily I was saved by Zach who came over with a glass of punch for me. A slow song started playing. Couples entered the dance floor. I took Zach's hand, he lead me to the dance floor. We swayed back and forth from foot to foot. We inched closer and closer until I could smell his cologne. I could feel his breath on my forehead. As I took in the moment I thought about spending my whole life with him. We were so close I thought we were about to kiss when the song ended and we slowly pulled away.

        I entered the dance gazing around at the beautiful decorations that the decor club had designed.

        "Hey Max!" I said as flirty as possible when I spotted him on the other side of the gym.

        "Hey." He said winking. As if on cue a slow song started playing. Max grabbed my waist and we started swaying to the song. I brushed my hips up against him. He pulled me closer. I dragged my lips across his, taunting him. He dipped me down to the floor and twirled me around. My hair flying wildly. A sly grin crossed his face. He pulled me close again. The song slowly ended. I was satisfied. Ashlee told me you always need them wanting more. 

"Maybe we could hang out tomorrow, me, you, movie " Max suggested. He had just pulled over to the side of the road about a block from my house after the dance.

"I don't know maybe." I replied raising a perfectly plucked eyebrow.

"You know you want to," he smirked. I went super close and whispered in his ear.

"Mm, convince me then." And then he smashed his lips onto mine. My moth melted into his. His tongue searched mine. We kissed passionately for a few more minutes then we broke apart for air.

"That was....." He trailed off, grinning.

"Amazing," I smirked. We both smiled and my heart was pounding in my chest.

What's happening?

"So is that a yes or no on if we should hang out or not?" He asked me, I weird gleam in his eyes.

"You know what, why not!" I smiled and he smiled back. The butterflies are back, uh oh.

"See ya tomorrow!"

"Yep"
