The Garden

We walk around pretty much in circles before we find a bench with a gorgeous flower print on it, that were almost as breathtaking as the flowers in the garden.

I sigh. This is going to be a long day.

"So, Alan, why exactly have you brought me here?" He shrugs. "I don't know, I guess I needed someone to talk to." He smiles at me. Jeez this guy smiles a lot. I think.

"Is it just me or do you get bored really easily too?" I ask as sort of an ice breaker. "Yeah kinda." He responds.

We don't talk that much for a couple of minutes before the bell rings. "Well see you later!" He shouts as he walks away. "See you." I respond.

I get lost in my mind for a while and before I know it I find myself wandering unknowingly.

What am I suppose to do now? I still need to find the guy I'm suppose to fall in love with!

I am about to continue searching but something tells me to stay and wait.

I walk into a classroom and see none other then Alan sitting in a seat with his eyes locked on his paper. Nobody else notices me and I'm relieved that with being a ghost I can also not be seen. But if that's the case why could Alan see me? I walk around and stand right in front of a girls desk. I look her dead in the eye but she sees nothing but the teacher.

Huh, maybe this will be more fun then I thought.

I stick my tongue out at her and proceed making weird faces. I look up to see Alan looking at me confused. I decide that it would be really fun to mess with him. So I walk until I'm next to the teacher and start mimicking her every move. I laugh quietly to myself and walk up to Alan. I stand right next to him and he stares at me. "Mr.Wade, would you care telling us what you're looking at?" Says an obviously annoyed teacher. "I...uh...nothing." He responds speechlessly.

I laugh. I see a water bottle on the ground and grin as an idea pops into my mind. I pick it up and walk over to the teacher. Nobody really liked this teacher, I know I didn't. When I was in school I decided to tell a teacher about how I was unhappy and she only scolded me for talking about something so inappropriate in school. I also remember the day she yelled at a little kid for taking his brother out of class, for their grandmas funeral. He was five.

All of that was going to make this so much more fun. I unscrewed the top and pulled out two ice cubes.

I walk over to Ms.Vannolch and slowly drop the two ice cubes down the back of her shirt. What happens next can't help but bring me to tears. She starts jumping up and down and shoving her hands down her back. The entire class bursts out in laughter.

Alan stares at me shocked. His mouth is wide open.

I give him a devilish smile and dip my hands in the water.

I pour the water in my hand down her back. I watch as she squirms some more until she finally runs out of the classroom ten minutes before class will end. Alan looks astonished and I wink before walking out the door.

I feel very pleased with my self as I walk with my head held high.

I just did that. I keep having to remind myself that. I continue walking down the hallway when I hear hurried footsteps behind me. I turn and see a confused Alan shouting my name in the distance. Oh no. I thought. I was definitely not ready to tell him about me.

I quicken my pace down the halls and before I know it I start running.

It doesn't take long before he catches up with me. "Why are you running away?" He asks. "Um no reason in particular except for I thought you were someone else, yeah." I respond.

"Tell me the truth." He urges. "I can't talk right now." I begin to walk away before I hear him tell me to stop. "What is with you, and why did nobody notice what you did? You were right there!" He exclaims.

So many things run through my mind, I'm still not ready.

I get lost in the maze of my thoughts before I realize what I'm doing and snap back to reality.

"Uh umm." I say. He looks confused and hurt and I realize that I have to tell him soon.

"It's ok, take your time." He says softly. I go over what I want to say millions of times but still can't seem to say it. Finally I come up with something that sounds ok the only problem being I don't know how to start it.

"Okay not that much time because class starts in like two minutes." Finally after a couple more seconds of  thinking I decide on what to start with.

"Come with me." I say. He doesn't question me and follows.

I make my way to the big doors leading to the garden and I slowly push them open. "You owe me." I say. We walk in and settle on staying near the back. "You might want to sit down for this." I say.

He looks at me questioningly but sits down anyway.

"Oh jeez this is harder then I thought." I say laughing. "Well um uh give me a sec." I say. I knew what I wanted to say but I just couldn't bring myself to saying it.

It takes me another months before Alan speaks up. "I'm gonna be late for class..." He trails off.

"Wait. Don't leave." I say grabbing his arm. I finally realize that I need to start it.

I sigh deeply. "Okay, Alan? There's something I want to tell you."
