Its a Date

It doesn't take as long for class to end as I expected and I'm lucky that I found some ways to entertain myself while he finishes his last class.

When he finally comes out I start to talk. "Lead the way." I tease.

"What are we playing follow the leader now or are you just stalking me?" He jokes as I follow behind him.

We continue until we reach his car. I start to float and he looks a little uncomfortable and taken back. He quickly brushes it off and enters his car. I start to float briskly and quietly behind him.

We make it to a fair sized house and I lower myself until my knees are boy a little bent while I float a few inches off the ground in front of his front door. He gets out and asks me politely to move. I do so and watch as he flips over a rock and pulls out a small key.

He brushes past me and inserts the key. I watch as he fumbles with the lock for a little while before finally opening the door. "Ladies first." He gestures. "While then what are you waiting for?" I say jokingly.

We enter his house and I see a nicely dressed lady sitting on the couch. She gets up and welcomes him. "Janice Alan's home!" Another lady dressed in a nice green blouse. "Hey Alan welcome home." She greets him and proceeds to kiss who I'm guessing is her wife on the cheek.

"Hey mom, mom." He laughs. "I'll be upstairs." He says. I follow behind him upstairs into his room. I watch as he runs his hands through his hair obviously thinking about earlier.

"Look I get that this is weird for you but there's more." I say. He looks at me as if I'm crazy. "I spoke to Jesus." I manage to mumble.

He looks taken back but motions for me to continue. "I'm still not really sure what happened so I don't think I should tell you everything now." I say shyly.

"Can you eat?" He questions. "I don't know I think so maybe."
"Good because we're going to go get food." He states. "I'm starving." I roll my eyes but follow him. We walk down the steps and he starts to talk to one of his moms. "Hey mom I'm going to get food with my, friend."
"Ok I'll let you off but when you get home you have to vacuum." She states. "Thanks mom!" He gushed. We walk out and make our way to his shiny blue car. "Hey you can just sit in the front this time." He urges. I do as he asks and make my towards the car.

He starts the car and soon we are moving. We pull into a drive thru and he orders two burgers, two fries, and two milkshakes.

"Are you sure you're ok with ordering for me? I mean what if I can't eat?" I ask. "What do you mean? This is all for me." He states jokingly. "Yeah it's fine I don't mind."

We go to the next window to pick up our food and he hands me a little bag as we continue to drive.

"Where are we going?" He says nothing just smiles as we pull into a big grassy park. He hurried out of the car and runs to the other side to open the door for me. "Oh wow so genteel." I joke. He laughs sarcastically and walks to the cars trunk. He pulls out a big blanket and sets it down in the grass.

"What were you prepared in case you finally got to eat with a girl?" I tease and he chuckles. "Yeah I was just waiting for when you came along." He goes along. "Nah when we picked up out food I remembered that I had a blanket in my car from the parade the other day."

"Well I hope you don't think this is a date." I say. He looks at me and nods. For I second I think I see a flicker of disappointment but we both brush it off.

I pick up the bag shocked that my hand doesn't go through it. I continue to shuffle through the contents of the bag and pull out a burger. "Wow fancy." I joke. "You deserve nothing less." He teases. "Moment of truth." I say as I open the burger and take a bite out of it. "Woo!" I say through a mouthful of food. We laugh and continue to eat for a little while.
