My eyes flutter open as I regain consciousness. I go to lift my arm but it doesn't budge. I look down at my arm it's strapped down and so are my legs. I look around me. I am in a plain white room. Empty picture frames line the walls. I hear the sound of the door open and I immediately shut my eyes, afraid of what would happen if they were open. "She must've passed out due to shock." I hear a familiar voice state. I hear feet shuffling before the door closes. My heart is beating outside my chest and my pulse quickens. Not another moment goes by before I hear the familiar creek of the metal door and foot steps growing louder. I hear the click of a marker cap and a squeaking when the marker hits the whiteboard. As soon as the door clicks shut I open my eyes and stare straight ahead of me. The words 'I know your awake.' Are written in blue marker. I freeze. I hear the sound of feet shuffling from behind me. I try to look around my chair but am unable to move my head. A man with white hair and a lab coat steps in front of me. "I'll give you some time before we talk to you, in the meantime we'd like you to think a little bit about what some things you want to tell us might be." He rasps. I hear the door click and I begin quickly scanning the room for anything that might help me escape. I find a small surgical knife about two inches from my hand. Without a moments hesitation I reach out and grab it. I begin cutting at the leather, holding the knife as though it's a throwing star. One down. I begin cutting the other strap. Done. I begin to run. I wonder why I don't see any scientists or security. I find two wide doors at the end of the hall signaling for my escape. I sprint towards them and find myself outside surrounded by around two dozen guards. Crap! "You may be wondering why we let you get this far, we wanted to see what you would do if given the opportunity to escape. You acted without reason, on impulse if you will." He starts to walk away and signals for the guards to follow. While he whispers something in the other twos ears. They nod. They grow closer and closer before I without think spread my arms apart and push down. I am now floating above them they take no recognition and I look up about to make my way out, but instead of clear blue sky I see a wire fence and dozens of tree branches overhead. I look back down to see that one had grabbed a jet pack and had begun leisurely floating while the other struggles to put his on. Not a moment to spare before they float up to where I am. I then run down to the door and look to see a hand press lock. Crap! Just as I was about to turn around I see two large bodies hurdling towards me. An idea pops into my head. I watch as they come towards me and right before they reach me I quickly turn behind one of them and shove them hard. Their hand lands on the pad and the door opens. I fly out and get far away as fast as possible.
