*That's what I imagine Vivian to look like. This is not my picture*

Benny's P.O.V

The other boys and I sat in the dugout waiting for Yeah-Yeah and Squints impatiently. I mean come on. We've been waiting forever and I just wanna play some ball.

Then I see them. They walk into the Sandlot slowly and they keep looking back. As they get closer I can see them bickering with eachother.

"Man I'm sweating like a pig," I hear one of the boys say.

"Let's go! Come on!" Yeah-Yeah says to Squints and pushes him towards us.

"Where have you guys been?! We've been waiting here forever already," I say angrily at them.

"Ah Squints was pervin' a dish," Yeah-Yeah said.

" Shut up! I wasn't," Squints says loudly.

" Yeah-Yeah you were. Your tongue was hangin' out of your head, and you was swoonin'. Oh, Wendy Peffercorn, my darling lover girl," Yeah-Yeah says laughing.

"Shut up, you know that wasn't the only reason! We were talkin' to Vi too," Squints rambles on.

"Vi?" Asks Smalls.

"Yeah-Yeah she's this really hot babe that we saw at Vincents. Get this, she plays ball like us. Says she pitches and can play other positions too!" Yeah-Yeah says excitedly.

"Yeah she's got these nice tan legs, and those eyes. Don't even get me started on her eyes," Squints says.

"No way, would a babe even think about talking to you two. I don't believe yah," Ham says.

" Well you better believe us, because she lives right across from the Sandlot," Squints says. Green eyes?

Green eyes went into the house right across from the Sandlot. Are they talkin' about her.

"What color were her eyes?" I blurt out, before i can stop myself .All the boys look at me weirdly.

"Why Benny, you gonna fall in love with her eyes, you hopeless romantic," Bertram teases in baby voice.

"Awh shut it man. I just wanna know," I say to him. He just smirks and takes another sip of his pop.

" Her eyes are green," Squints says and I suddenly feel jealous. I mean come on I wanted to be the one who got to meet her first, not these guys. They probably made it so that she thinks we're all idiots. I'm an idiot for not going myself. She doesn't even know I exist. Why am I jealous? I quickly change the topic, not wanting the other boys to get interested in her even more.

"Okay, let's just play ball," I grumble.

"Ooh, someone's jealous that we got a hot babe and he didn't," Yeah-Yeah says and I glare at him before answering.

"No I'm not... let's just play"

"Yeah-Yeah sure... You totally are," Yeah-Yeah mumbles and walks to the dugout, handing me the ball on his way. I just stand there.

" This pop isn't working, Benny," Ham whines," I'm baking like a toasted cheeser! It's so hot here!"

"It's like 1,000 degrees out there Benny. You can't play baseball," Squints says. I look at the field and then back at them in the dugout.

I growl at their stubborn behavior.

"Fine, vote then. Anyone who wants to be a .. can't hack it.. panty waist... who wears their Mama's bra. Raise your hand," I say. They all do and start chattering about how they can handle that.

"Fine, Fine, Fine. Be like that. So what are we gonna do?" I say. They all laugh and look at each other.

"Scam Pool Honeys!" They all yelled.
"Ooh Squints, we should bring Vivian!" Yeah-Yeah exclaims loudly. Squints looks at him and nods excitedly. All the other boys look interested too. Dammit.

"Come on you just met her, let her have a break from you two," I call out to them, seeing as they were all already running towards the exit.

"Nope, no can do Benny," I hear one of them yell. I quickly run after them.

*5 minutes later*

Here we were. Standing outside the gate of Green eyes' house. We were just standing there like idiots because no one was brave enough to actually go up and knock on the door. I mean none of us had ever knocked on a Girls door, let alone got close to one's house without our Parents. So now we stood there, all 9 of us.

"I think Yeah-Yeah should do it, since he was the first one to want her to go," Squints says and Yeah-Yeah glares at him.

" Kay-kay but your the one who said you wanted to be her boyfriend, so you go get her," Yeah-Yeah says.

"Yeah well anyone would want to be her boyfriend, they'd be dumb not to," Squints argues.

"Well one of you better do it, because she don't know any of us yet," I chimed in. They both look at eachother before Yeah-Yeah sighs dramatically.

"Fine, I'll do it," he says and slowly opens the gate. Ham pushes his shoulder before saying that he should hurry up.

I watch as Yeah-Yeah slowly makes his way down the path and up the stairs until he's finally at the front door. He looks back nervously. Timmy and Tommy give him thumbs up. He just turns around. Then he knocks. I gotta say, he's brave as hell for actually doing this. I cross my arms when I hear loud barking from the other side of the door. It must be the dog that Ms. Quivlia has. I've seen her walking it before.

Then there's yelling and it quickly snaps me out of my thoughts and I look up. I didn't even realize that I had looked down, but when I looked up man was there a sight.

There in the doorway stood Green eyes in a pair of shorts that showed off her legs well and made me think things that I really shouldn't be thinking about, but can you blame me I'm a 13 year old boy for crying out loud. A 13 year old boy whose seeing one of the most attractive people he's ever seen. I looked to my left. Only to find that the other boys had their mouths open. Well besides Squints, he just smugly smirked and looked at us all.

"And you guys didn't believe us," he whispered quietly.

I looked back at the porch and I can see Yeah-Yeah talking to her. You could tell he was nervous. The way he had his hand rubbing the back of his neck. I mean I'd be nervous too. He's basically asking her if she wants to go swimming with a bunch of boys in an outfit that's very similar to undergarments. (He's talking about a bikini, just to be clear). I saw a confused look spread across her face, but Yeah-Yeah simply pointed his finger back at us and I watched as she looked up at us for the first time.

Her eyes, those Damn Green Eyes, scanned us all before it looked like they stopped at me for a split second longer then the other boys. Maybe I'm delusional but I could have sworn they did.

She looked back at Yeah-Yeah before answering whatever question he had asked. It was to far away for us to hear. She nodded and then turned back to her house, but she stopped halfway and turned back to look at us.
"I'll be out in a minute, but boys you should really shut your mouths, wouldn't want any flies getting in now would we," she comments loud enough for us to hear. She turns back with a smirk on her face and Yeah-Yeah laughs. Then the door is shut.

" aww look you guys are totally blushing!" he exclaims.

"Whatever you blockhead. We should all get different clothes to swim in. Yeah-Yeah we'll meet you back here. We'll get you an extra pair of shorts too," I say and usher the boys towards our houses.
