After that big scene in the office blew over I sprinted to the bathroom to clean my face. I got weird looks from just about everyone on the 39th floor. It shouldn't be long before the rumors start. Great, just what I need. Rumors to be spread all over the office about the new girl sleeping with the boss.

I think I had a good reason to react the way I did though. Especially because of the way he was undressing me with his eyes the entire discussion. Disgusting no good rich-ass face! If he even thinks that anything like that would ever happen between us ever again, he's sadly mistaken. I just can't believe I didn't know I was going to be working for him. I'm so stupid. Yeah pretty much. Oh shut it.

I went back to being professional for the rest of the day running errands for Mr. De Laurentis and answering calls. He literally ran me around all day. I haven't sat down for over three hours and my feet are killing me. After two hours of repeatedly calling me into his office to talk to him and me ignoring him about everything non work related, he blew a fuse and broke the office phone on his desk and then sent me to get a new one. I laughed when I reached the elevator.

It's funny how out of all of that, I was still able to make friends around the office. One being Rain. She and everyone else thinks that theirs something going on between Mr. De Laurentis and I, but I quickly shut it down. I simply told her that we used to be friends when we were younger and then he moved away.

"Friends huh? I have never seen a woman go into his office and yell him the way you did, without him biting their heads off." Her dirty blonde hair falls over her shoulders as she takes a sip of her drink.

"Well-I-I don't know. He just made me so angry. I mean if he would have simply just stayed then-" I cut myself off when I realize she doesn't know about what happened. And I don't know her well enough to tell her. So I sip my drink and stare at the table.

"Hey. You don't have to tell me anything. I understand. But if you need a friend i'm here for you." She smiles and rubs my shoulder. There's something about her that makes me feel at home. Her personality is so bubbly and warm. We finish our lunch and head back to the office.

Four hours later and it's time for me to go home. I pack up my things and grab my purse. It's warm here in New York so I don't really need a jacket.

"Hey why don't you say we go out for drinks tonight. Halie from the front desk and Todd from accounting are coming. You should tag along. Ya know make some new friends?" Rain looks at me with the puppy dog eyes. I'm just about to answer when Austin comes out of his office and screams for me to come in his office.

"I'll let you know." I say and turn around to walk to his office. I walk through the door and he's sitting behind his desk writing something down.

"Uh yes Mr-"

"Close it." Could you say please? I roll my eyes and shut the door.

"Yes-Sir?" He ignores me and finishes writing something on his desk. After two minutes he finally speaks.

"How was your first day?" He finally looks up at me.

"It was fine. Can i go home now?" I gesture to the door. He looks me up and down.

"No. I need you to stay late and copy these reports, file them and then send them over to the Hindcorp Firm." What? Is he serious? He hands me the reports and my blood begins to boil.

"Seriously?" I  say looking down at the reports. He can't be serious. He's really pushing me today.

"Yes and i'd like it done before 9 pm." That's only three hours from now! He can't be serious. He gestures for me to leave.
