Chapter 31

"Boys." We heard Pan. Derek moved away from me, brushing his tears away as he faced Pan. Pan stood at the edge of the camp, his face not readable.

"We have lost one of us today. Daniel." We all looked down and it was a moment of silence. Pan's voice was surprisingly glum. "Mermaids have done it, and I've already taken care of her. We got our revenge for Daniel." He said as he looked at me. 
"This is going to be a reminder to you all. No one is getting off this island without my permission. And don't go near the bloody water by the mermaid lagoon!" He yelled his voice cold. We all flinched at his words.  He took a deep breath and dismissed us. He started walking to his tent and I followed him. I kept calling him, and he ignored me until I followed him into the tent.

"Pan!"

"What!" He roared turning around his fists clenched. His shirt was tainted with blood. I looked up at his face.

"What did you do to Hook?" I asked crossing my arms.

"Nothing of your bloody business." He said sighing. 

"Yes it is.nn What-

" You really need to know everything, don't you? You are too curious. I will not tell you a thing."He said pointing to the exit of his tent. "Go out of my tent, and do whatever you want. I don't care, just leave me alone!" He snapped. Without a word, I left his tent. Felix called me, but I told him I need to take a walk to cool off. So I ran through the jungle. I needed something to tire me down, to make me stop thinking about Pan, Dan and Hook. I took a break when I got to the beach. I plopped down onto the sand, facing the ocean. My thoughts came to me as soon as I calmed down, my mind became a circus. Who would think that this kind of thing would happen in Neverland?  Then I heard something behind me, left from me. I wanted to take my dagger but then I remembered that I forgot it. Damn. I was listening carefully. And then I jumped and with my leg hit, whatever it was behind me. Hook grunted as he fell down.

"What the hell are you doing here!" I asked as I dusted the sand off of me. He was rolling on the floor in pain. "Oh come on, I didn't hit you that hard!" I said and he slowly got up.
"What do you want?" I said crossing my arms.

"I was just taking a walk my dear, and then I saw you." He said with a sly smile. Just looking at him made me ao angry. My hands moved before my mind. I grabbed his sword and pressed it against his neck. He rose his arms in defence. 

"Daniel is dead because of your deal with Pan. What was the deal?" I asked pressing the sword harder on his neck.

"How did he die? Did Pan kill him?" He asked.  

"NO! Of course not. Mermaids did it. Mermaid said that you should keep your mouth closed. They heard about the deal, and Daniel is now dead. What was the deal?" I asked and he just kept quiet. "WHAT IS THE DEAL!" I scremed.

"Well, you dear friend wanted to leave the island. Mermaids told him that I can take him home." He said, and I could tell he was being truthful. With a growl I there the sword in front of him. 

"And I can't tell you about the deal," he added. "But why don't you come with me?" He asked making my head snapp to his face.

"I don't want to go anywhere with you! Now leave me, alone pirate!" I said turning around.

"Oh, don't you say ... is Clary starting to fall for the little demon?" I heard him chucle. 

"No, I'm not," I said looking at him over my shoulder.

"Whatever you say," He smirked." But, you know that I can take you home." He said, and something in that sentence made me wonder if I should take the offer. But then I remembered what Pan said.

"No, you can't. No one leaves this island without his permission." I told as I turned around to face him again. 

"Is that what he said, eh?" Hook chuckled as he picked up his sword and placed it back to his hip. "My sweet girl, he is turning you into a lost girl, isn't he?" he suddenly said as he walked closer to me. "Why would you want to be under his influence?" He placed his hand on my cheek, and his hook lay on my lower back. 

"I aredy am a lost girl." I said slapping his hand. "And maybe you're forgetting, but you're way too old to try and make a move on me." 

"And he isn't?" He laughed. 

"Shut it." I told. "Now go if you don't want to see what he taught me all," I said and he just arched a bow, and left. I sat again on the sand. I was resting by the beach for a while, alone. I heard another movement, and when I turned around I saw Felix.

"Oh, it's you, I thought Hook was back," I said and Felix sat beside me.

"Hook was here?" He asked with wide eyes and I just hummed in response. "Did he hurt you?" He asked looking over me. I shook my head. "Are you okay?" He asked.

"How can I be okay after I saw Pan killing a mermaid when we found out that Daniel is dead!" I said trowing my arms in the air.

"We are all sad about Daniel, but you need to understand that Pan is who he is." He said and I sighed.

"I guess I do now," I replied looking down. I think that Pan has more secrets than I could imagine. And some secrets are definitely dark. And they probably are the reason he is the way he is. No one chooses to be like this for no reason.

"You know when I look at you it's so strange to see that you are one of us. I mean, our first real lost girl." Felix changed the subject making me look at him with a smile. 

"How many girls were on Neverland before me?" I asked. 

"Tree. But they couldn't stay here for longer than 4 days. They were always crying and they were weak and scared...They liked it here at first but then they started to miss their family." He answered and I nodded. "You are different." He said and I poked him in the ribs.

"I know." I replied. He chuckled and looked at the ocean. 

"Felix, of those girls, was there a girl named Wendy?" I asked. And for a split second, I saw his Jaw twitch.

"No why?"He asked looking back at me. 

"Because in the story Pan falls in love with Wendy," I explained making him break a laugh. 

"If Pan falls ever in love with someone I will cut myself with dreamshade." He said while laughing. I rolled my eyes but felt my break twist. So there was no chance that Pan can feel something towards me. I was delusional all this time. 

"But.." Felix stopped laughing. " I do think he could fall in love with you.  Maybe, just maybe." He said winking at me, making me laugh.

"What? That's ridiculous." I acted making him just grin. 

"We will see." He said getting up. "See you at the camp." He said left.

The possibility of Pan falling for me, made me feel just a bit better. But, as Felix said, it was a maybe. Even he wasn't sure. However maybe a Wendy will show up, and she might be the one he falls for.

When I got back, everyone was sitting on the floor and watching the fire. No one was speaking. I sat beside Derek. He didn't even glance at me. This day went so wrong. 

"Boys get some sleep, this day was a hard one," Pan said as he exited his tent. The boys silently went to their tents. I gave Derek a comforting smile before he left. I stayed alone by the fire. I looked up to see Pan standing still by his tent looking towards Daniel's tent. 

"Pan.." I called and he looked at me. His eyes were teary, and he was shaking from anger. Grief maybe. If he even knew what that was. 

"Clary." He called but didn't move. He sounded so helpless. Such a different vibe was coming off of him than this morning.
"Pan.. I-

"Love, go to sleep. I have.. I have to go." He just said and left the camp without turning back.. He turned around and started to run. I called his name, but he didn't look or come back. 

I went to sleep, hoping that maybe a dream could fic this miserable day, but I was only welcomed with a nightmare in return.
