Chapter 13

As soon as we came to the camp, Pan just left me alone and got into his tent. I saw Felix in the distance so I went up to him.

"Hey, where were you?" He asked with a smile.

"I took a walk. Then Pan found me and he showed me some places in Neverland." I said sitting on the grass. He sat beside me.

"Where did he take you?" He asked looking down at me.

"To some cliff, and to the mermaid lagoon," I answered simply. He nodded.

"Boys, bedtime. Tomorrow we need to get up really early. We are going to hunt. So beds now." I heard Pan, his voice stern. All the boys stood up and went to their tents. Gosh, he is telling them to go to sleep like he is their father. I still can't believe that this is Neverland. Pan raised his eyebrow at me, as a sign for me to get up and go to the tent.  I sighed and got up walking to the tent. As I walked in I saw Pan writing something.

"What are you writing?" I asked sitting on his bed.

"Nothing of your business, go to sleep." He told his voice cold. Is it possible he is still mad because of the mermaid? I gave a big loud sigh, as a sign that something is bothering me as well, even tho nothing was. He completely ignored me, so I just lied down on his bed covering myself with the sheets. I couldn't fall asleep. I was afraid that the nightmare will come back. So I kept tossing around, trying to find a comfortable position. "Can't sleep?" I heard Pan asked not looking at me.

" like you care," I mumbled and he stopped doing whatever he was doing to glance over at me.

"Who said I do?" he smirked at me making me just scoff at him.

"Goodnight. " I said rolling over. 

"It's because of the nightmare, isn't it?" and he needs to know everything. I sat up and looked at him. Pan still wasn't facing me, instead, he was studying some map.

"Yes," I answered and he finally turned his whole body towards me.

"Nightmares are normal in Neverland when you first arrive. The nightmares are about what you are scared of, what is hunting you from your past, your hidden desires. It won't stop until you accept the past and forget it. But the fear, you need to know how to control it." He said sitting beside me. " What are you afraid of?" he asked narrowing his eyes.

"I-I can't say it." I said looking away from him.

" Why not?" He urged trying to get my attention, but I still didn't look at him.

"Because I keep it for myself and it's complicated," I replied biting my lip while playing with my fingers in my lap.

"You need to talk with someone. If not with me then with... I don't know Felix," he said and I finally looked at him.

"Why are you suddenly so nice to me?" I asked and he raised his eyebrow.

"I'm helping you because you are new. And I know how it is when someone has nightmares," he explained and sighed. "If you want to survive here, you need to defeat your nightmares and your fears. You need to leave past in the past." He said his voice stern. He waited for me to start talking about my nightmare, or my fears. However, I didn't feel confident about telling him. "I see. You can't trust me." He got up and took a deep breath. "Why?" His voice was now raw and low. He tilted his head while looking at me, and his fingers gripping his chin while he thought about something.
