Sci felt so bad for what he had done. But he felt better when red started sleeping with him in the guest room. It had been a month since the fight, and red and stretch still hadn't spoken or looked at each other. Stretch usually went to muffets before red woke up, and went home after red had gone to sleep, but one morning, he heard red talking to sci.

"Another nightmare, huh? And this time you burnt the bed. Here, let me sing you my favorite lullaby. Maybe that'll help you sleep."

It was the song stretch had sung to red when he'd had really bad nightmares. He knew it by heart. It was called 'light in the hallway' and he smiled every time he heard it... every time except this. Tears streamed down his skull as he hummed along quietly. He wiped them from his face as the song slowly came to an end. He looked at the door, longing to open it and bury himself in red's shirt. But he couldn't. Red was already scared of him, so who knows what he would do if stretch just barged in and attacked him with hugs. He heard the door open and looked at red. Red looked back at stretch. stretch started crying again, but red only glared and walked right past him. And stretch broke down in the snow. He stayed there for hours, almost freezing to death. When sci found him, he was practically a skeleton-cicle. Sci brought him into the guest room and sat him down with a cup of hot chocolate.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm c-cold-d..."

"Yeah... why were you just lying in the snow though?"

"R-red-d..."

"Did red hurt you? I know he's got a short temper but-"

"N-no... h-he w-woul-ld n-ne-v-ver."

"Ok. good. I'm sorry that he's-"

"No... h-he'd... he's... i don't know anymore..."

Sci looked sad. "I... i'm sorry."

"Why?"

"the note from this morning?"

"The one from edge?"

"Yeah... i wrote that."

"What!?"

Stretch looked angry, but he started crying uncontrollably. Sci tried to comfort him, but he just slapped sci's hand away.

"You tricked me. You... you made red hate me! Why!?"

"Because..." he looked away from stretch. "I'm in love with him."

Stretch looked a little surprised, but not very.

"Well that's understandable, but you shouldn't have done what you did."

"I know. I regret it so much. Red is so depressed that he barely talks to me."

"Same... except he doesn't even stay in the same room as me for more than a minute."

"Wow... i'm so sorry... i didn't-"

"It's fine. I just... i wish i hadn't fought his brother..."

"I'm sorry too. I wish i hadn't come here at all..."

"Don't say that sci." red said from the doorway.

"Red!" sci and stretch exclaimed in unison.

Red looked at the floor. "Look, i'm sorry for ignoring ya, i just..."

" i get it."

Stretch got up and left, but at the doorway red stopped him.

"Hey, stretch? Can i talk to ya? Later i mean."

"Any time sans. You can always talk to me."

When stretch left, red broke into tears. Sci explained what he had done, and red felt betrayed.

"Look, i know you probably don't trust me now, but please, just-"

"Sans. i love you. So calm down. Besides, i don't care."

He kissed sci. "Let's go to bed. It's been a really long day."

"Ok."
