--BEX'S POV--

"Welcome back to hell" I grinned embracing Vanessa, one of my best friends.

"Haha nice to see you too Bex" she replied rolling her eyes in return.

We caught up on everything we missed during our summer vacation when I realised the third member of our little group still wasn't here.

"Where's Lou?" I asked Vanessa as I scanned the crowd of students entering the large, white school building.

"I dunno, she hasn't been replying to any of my texts for the past few days" V groaned clearly annoyed at Louise's unresponsive behaviour.

"Oh thank god!" I breathed causing Vanessa to give me a weird look in response.

"I mean, I thought that she was pissed at me and was ignoring me but seeing as she is doing the same to you it makes me feel so much better about myself!" I informed her happily.

"Gee thanks, I feel so much better about myself now" she huffed sarcastically, but I could tell she was hurt by my not so friendly comment.

But hey! Bitch better deal with it and not be so sensitive, because nobody go time for that shit.

"Anyway, I'm still worried. What if something happened to her?" V continued, anxiously running her hand through her blonde hair.

"Well...she did the spend the last few days on vacation with Ashton. So you know...maybe she wanted some... alone time with her boyfriend" I replied in a bored voice and chuckled as I watched a horrified expression appear on V's face.

Before she could say anything, I quickly said, "Speaking of Ashton and boyfriends...where the hell is Luke!?"

Vanessa laughed before continuing, "You mean that giant walking towards us?"

I turned around and sprinted towards the tall blonde who immediately wrapped his arms around me.

"This is your principal speaking"

I groaned as our principal, Mr. Rogers, was about to make the billionth announcement for the day. Luke chuckled at me as he continued taking out his books for the next lesson.

"I need Ms. Rebecca Edwards and Ms. Vanessa Clifford to please come to my office immediately!"

Luke looked at me in disbelief: "What the hell did you do now? It's not even lunch!"

"I didn't do anything!" I protested defensively.

Luke looked like he didn't fully believed me, but instead of pushing the matter he simply asked: "What do you think the old bat wants?"

"I'm not sure. I mean...it can't be anything bad if Vanessa's also going right? She never gets in trouble so I think I'm good" I replied smirking as Luke entwined his fingers with mine.

He looked at me and as he started leaning in, I could already feel the fireworks going off inside of my stomach. As our lips connected I felt my legs go weak and I honestly thought I was going to melt right then and there.

"Sometimes I wonder how you and Vanessa are even friends" he laughed as he pulled away from our kiss.

"You and me both Luke, you and me both."

I laughed as I wrapped an arm around Luke, steering him in the direction of the principal's office. We walked in a comfortable silence until we met Vanessa, who was hyperventilating. I calmly sat down on one of the waiting chairs and watched Vanessa pace in front of me. The bell for lesson rang and Luke gave my hand a quick squeeze and a peck on the cheek before walking away.
