Asuna quickly ran inside her house to search for her katana, only it took a little too long.
Outside, the demon ran towards Vincent, only to be stopped by a small yet powerful wave of water.
"I'm not the best when it comes to water casting, but this will have to do..." Vincent said as he maneuvered according to the water he was manipulating.
The demon's speed accelerated and it soon jumped and pounced onto Vincent's chest. The demon snarled and was soon swept off of Vincent by the force of Asuna's weaponry.
"Are you alright?!" Asuna exclaimed, helping Vincent stand up.
"Yeah... I'm fine." Vincent grunted as he tried to collect himself mentally.
Asuna charged towards the demon and stabbed it right through the snout. The demon then shrieked a cry of extraordinary pain and soon faded away into a dark portal and into the ground, leaving blood left behind on the ground and Asuna's sword.
"Asuna..." Vincent blurted out in awe but also disgust.
"Sorry, what can you expect from the daughter of a head swordsman?" Asuna said as she placed her right hand on her hip.
Despite being the daughter of a head swordsman, Asuna had poor form and didn't even know that stabbing something with a katana is illogical.
An expensive bright red car drove up behind Vincent and Asuna, shining its headlights on both of them.
"Oh crap, your dad's here..." Asuna said fearfully helping Vincent up.
Vincent was still in a state of shock from being so close to the demon.
Nagan and Taurus both came out of the car, causing Vincent to sigh in relief.
"You're okay-" Taurus yelled before getting pushed to the side by Nagan.
"Did you think I wouldn't notice my car has gone missing?" Nagan yelled in fury, walking up to Vincent.
"Nagan, remember what you're really here for," Taurus said as he tried to calm Nagan down.
Nagan closed his eyes and stopped walking for a moment. He sighed and shook his head.
"Okay... so I'm assuming you two know about the demon?" Nagan asked while rubbing the back of his neck.
"Yeah... I actually just killed one." Asuna pointed out, holding onto Vincent to support his stance.
"Oh..." Nagan said completely shocked, "Well, then there is no need to really explain, Taurus, take dad's car and drive Asuna to the Seminar. Vincent, you'll be coming with me, in my car..." Nagan glared at Vincent.
Everyone separated and drove off in different directions.
The car ride with Nagan wasn't as quiet as Vincent hoped it would've been.
"Listen..." Nagan said with a soft voice, driving through the nighttime streets. "I know you're exhausted from fighting the demon..." Nagan continued.
"I actually didn't really fight... If anything I'm more hurt than anything," Vincent began to interrupt.
"It's all over the news... You guys left before anyone found out," Nagan explained, "It's my fault... I should've been more aware. This won't happen again,"
"You don't have to apologize... Nagan, it's not your fault," Vincent said with a lump in his throat.
"No one else is going to protect you... You're not ready to deal with demons!" Nagan scolded.
