"Show me your true power, Queen of Light," Lucifer said as he charged towards Rosalia.
Lucifer summoned a sword from a dark shroud as he was pushed back by Rosalia.
"I won't waste it on you..." Rosalia said as a light pillar formed in front of Rosalia. Rosalia proceeded to push the pillar at Lucifer.
Lucifer dodged the pillar and shot multiple blasts of darkness at Rosalia. Rosalia fell to the attack of the blasts.
"Is that all you got? Clearly you're a woman of her word..." Lucifer said deviously.
Rosalia cast a light beam of high speeds and shot Lucifer down. She ran to Lucifer and attempted to stab him with her gunblade.
As Lucifer dodged the attack, he cast a fire blast on Rosalia's back, causing her to fly across the battleground. Rosalia let out a shriek of pain as she landed.
Lucifer cast a large ring of fire around him and aimed it towards Rosalia. Rosalia watched from the ground, helpless and afraid.
Lucifer raised his arm in her direction and proceeded to push the ring towards Rosalia.
Once the ring hit Rosalia, the direct contact turned the ring into a large vortex.
"Why don't you use what you've been working on for these past years? I'm sure you're proud of it," Lucifer taunted as he walked to an injured Rosalia.
"You just crossed a line..." Rosalia said with a grunt. She struggled to stand and breathe.
"I think you've reached your limit darling. Who's the next in line for the throne? Axel?" Lucifer continued to taunt.
Rosalia summoned her staff and raised it towards Lucifer.
"Is that what Cantos gave you?" Lucifer said interrupted as Rosalia cast a large blast at him.
"Why are you doing this?" Rosalia asked.
"He knew..." Lucifer said, beginning to float.
Two beams of light struck Lucifer down from behind, causing him to retaliate with a long dark slash from his sword.
Rosalia lifted her staff and a large star appeared. The star hit Lucifer directly in the face and smaller stars rained on top of him.
"I... I can't believe this..." Rosalia said as she looked down at her feet in disbelief. She felt disgusted and also a form of betrayal.
"Why? Why do I feel like this?" Rosalia asked herself.
"Don't cry," Lucifer said from behind Rosalia.
Lucifer struck his sword through Rosalia's stomach and electrocuted her with dark lightning.
Rosalia fell to the floor, holding onto the thread of life.
"For... my kids..." Rosalia whispered as she watched Lucifer fly away back into the castle.
"I will not... end... Not like this..." Rosalia said as she began to heal herself.
- Chamber of Solitude, Castle of Inferno -
"Greed, it is done," Lucifer said as he flew in threw a window.
Greed sat in the dark corner of the room, at a desk with a fireplace near him.
"The path is clear for us to rule now. But this war is far from over, as the Conscript of Light has killed my conscript," Greed replied as he drank his tequila.
"But sir-"
"I know, they were just puppets, why would I care? Turns out... regardless... love was there," Greed said as he stood from his chair and opened the door, "And it might always be there..."
- - -
Rosalia, healed, busted through the castle's front doors, causing a scene.
Guards from all corners of the first floor surrounded Rosalia, aiming their weapons at her.
"...If it isn't all this familiar..." Rosalia said as she slowly walked in, covering her stomach.
A guard threw one of their small chakrams and cut Rosalia's cheek.
"I'm shocked," Rosalia said, startled by the small cut.
The guard took off her helmet to reveal an elderly woman's face, with long white hair put in a side braid.
Rosalia's eyes widened, and a single tear fell from her eye.
"I know what you've done, you sick woman," The guard said, displaying a disgusted and mean face.
"It's never sunny in Inferno, Marina Del Rey..." Rosalia said as she summoned her staff.
Rosalia's Flashback ~
"In unison, we pray to the stars for a better future. Pillars of change become corrupt and all of us can no longer see her. In a second the wind cries and scars our hands... A leader no more, can he stand. How does that sound?" Rosalia said to a tall dark man with long silver hair put in a braid as the two walked through a park during the nighttime.
"That sounds really good, just think of the melody." The man said, holding Rosalia's hand.
"Surprisingly enough, I feel at ease. Everything that's been going on is... is too much..." Rosalia said as she frowned.
"Listen," The man said as he lifted Rosalia's head, "You'll be fine okay? I know you can do it. You'll be the best Butterfly Spirit out there..."
~
"I thought I got rid of you," Lucifer said as he walked into the main foyer, passing the guards.
"You wish, jester," Rosalia responded.
"Marina, fall back. I'll take care of this," Lucifer said as he called for the guards to fall back.
Lucifer's wings spread again, but this time, on fire.
Rosalia cast an abundance of Light blasts towards Lucifer, but Lucifer knocked each out of his way.
A large compression wave surrounded Rosalia, but Rosalia spread her wings and flew away from the wave.
"What a sad move!" Rosalia yelled before plummeting to the floor from a dark beam.
Rosalia's body became trapped in the compression wave, and soon flowing over her.
"Sad isn't it?" Lucifer asked.
Light broke through the darkwave and struck Lucifer through the chest, causing him to fall to his knees.
"Don't cry," Rosalia said as she kicked Lucifer to the floor.
"You bitch..." Lucifer groaned.
"You're lucky I'm letting you live. Where's the throne room?" Rosalia said as she walked past Lucifer.
"One hundredth and sixth floor." Lucifer explained, "Elevator's on the fiftieth..."
