"It's been about a month since we've done anything. All we have done was missions, train, bounty hunts, and practice our casting. I recently got a new weapon because my other one broke. It's a large and beautiful scythe which the blade is a nice deep blackish-red, and is foldable! Mizore is still using her chakrams but is also using her dead brother's weapon, which was a claymore axe. I understand you're very busy but I miss you dad, please write back. Mom misses you, I'm sure Axel does as well. You have yet to meet the rest of the conscript so I hope when you come home we can all spend a day and learn what it's like to experience war. Love you so much.
Love with all of her heart, Rin Kogarashi"
Rin read her letter aloud to the conscript as they all gathered around in the formal living room on the first floor of the palace.
"I'm really excited to see your father Rin. I'm sure he's amazing," Mizore said as she held Rin's shoulder.
"And by the way, hell yeah I miss him!" Axel said overdramatically, causing the Conscript to laugh.
Rosalia stormed through the castle in search of the kids and many of the residents of the castle followed her.
"Conscript, meeting room, now!" Rosalia yelled, circling around.
The Conscript looked at each other with concern in their eyes and confusion on their faces.
The Conscript gathered in the conference room with Rosalia and two councilwomen.
"May I ask what's going on here?" Axel asked as he was seated next to his sister.
Axel looked at the councilwomen standing behind his mother who was looking through different files on the table.
The councilwomen each held a small stack of papers and folders.
"There is no easy way to put this... But our greatest threat has resurfaced," Rosalia explained.
Rin gasped loudly and covered her mouth with two hands.
"Don't be annoying..." Axel rolled his eyes, "Is it the Satan?"
"The Dark Conscript has already been elected," Rosalia explained.
When the Light Conscript is elected, a Conscript of Darkness is elected 9 months after due to the Prophecy of the Ancients.
"So soon? This means we have to prepare faster..." Axel complained.
"So does that mean...?" Vincent asked, holding his left hand up to pause the conversation.
"No... we're not sure the Satan had kids of any kind, but we're certain he didn't," Rosalia explained.
"This changes the prophecy... doesn't it," Mizore asked, bending her eyebrows because of her sad expression.
The two councilwomen shook their heads, "yes,"
"Is dad aware?" Rin asked.
"I have yet to get a hold of him... have you been sending him letters?" Rosalia asked.
