We think shiny objects
Are worth something
Not the prices they're given.
Always thinking someday that we have
Perceived these objects will change
The things that glisten make us in a
way that our vision becomes distorted
We imagine things can get better. when we
Want something, but will get it,
But this determination isn't how
I want to see a shiny object. I
Am tired of seeing the world this way. ive
Seen the world from a distorted window
As everything is sugarcoated,
A simple coin will be seen as a piece of gold when it is merely a
Rusted metal. An overpriced dress is seen as the only
Piece that can comfort ones needs.
Of course, those shiny objects compare to
Nothing when one shatters their view to see the world's true colors.
