"Hell no." Shawn says as I walk into the living room.
I scrunch my eyebrows together at his sudden tone.
"What?" I ask innocently but know exactly what he means.
"You're not wearing that when Gilinsky gets here." He motions to my outfit.
I look down at the Calvin Klein bralette and the tightest leggings I could find in my closet, outfit I was wearing. I mentally congratulate myself on getting a reaction out of Shawn.
"What's wrong with it?" I ask faking a frown when in reality I know exactly what's wrong.
Shawn scans over my facial expression in concentration for a while. Soon after he gets up and walks towards me not breaking eye contact. With every step he makes my insides turn in frustration that he won't get here faster. Once he finally reaches me after what feels like ages he lays his hands on my hips and towers over me, his face millimeters away from mine.
"I know what game you're trying to play here, Emily." He says, with every word I smell his minty breath that sends tingles through my skin.
"And...." I trail off laying my hands on his chest playing with the material of his cotton shirt in between my fingers. "What game would that be?" I ask pretending to be oblivious. I bite my bottom lip softly but seductively. In return Shawn licks his lips.
"That would be the game where you try to make me confess I'm jealous." He says squeezing my sides making me squirm. "Is that what you want to hear? I'm jealous?" He asks cocking his head a bit and squinting his eyes at me. "Because baby, you don't have to dress like this, not that I don't mind because damn I can stare at you all day, but I don't want any other guy looking at you the way I look at you," I instinctively smile as he calls me baby. "Especially when you're wearing these leggings." His hand slides down my back and squeezes my butt, making me jump a little. "Fuck." He whispers.
"What?" I ask as he stares into my eyes.
"You're so damn beautiful." He says never looking a way.
I look down trying to cover my flaming red cheeks that he has set the fire to with his words. I look up at him still with red cheeks.
"Even when you look like a tomato you're still gorgeous, and that says a lot because I hate tomatoes." I instinctively laugh at his comparison of me to a tomato.
"Well that's one way to make a girl feel special, well said Mendes." I chuckle
"What can I say." He shrugs cockily which makes me roll my eyes.
I stand on my tiptoes and connect my lips with Shawns. I pull back biting his bottom lip softly which earns a moan from Shawn.
*knock* *knock*
Mine and Shawns attention is turned towards the door where the knocks are coming from. I pull back from Shawn and walk to the door opening it wide to see my favorite person in the world, besides Shawn of course.
"Look how big my baby sister has gotten!" Jack, my brother, exclaims as he drops his bags and engulfs me in a big bear hug. A bit later we pull back from the hug and my eyes connect with the boy behind him.
"Emily." Gilinsky says
"Jack." I breathe.
**********"Cameron I don't know what to do!" I exclaim in frustration pacing back and forth in my room.
Cam is seated on my bed listening to me pour out my problems.
"Tell Shawn." Cam says as if it were the simplest conclusion.
I look at him taken aback.
"Are you kidding me! Do you know how he'll react if I told him!" I run a hand through my hair.
"It's better than keeping it away from him." He says shrugging.
"Actually no because then he won't find out." I point out biting my nail, which is always a terrible habit of mine.
"Or.." Cam trails off. "He will find out maybe not by you but by someone else. And then what? The problem will become and even bigger problem."
Cams right if I tell Shawn he'll be mad but if I don't he will either never find out or he will. Why does this have to be so frustrating! God I'm so stupid! I should have never done it in the first place, but now it's too late.
I sigh.
"Then I guess I have to tell Shawn before it gets out of hand and I overthink it." Cam nods in agreement. " it can't be that bad right?"
"What can't be that bad?" A voice asks.
I turn my attention to the door where Shawn is leaning against the frame.
My breath gets hitched in my throat and nervousness rushes through my veins as he stands and wait for my response.
"I um have to uh......feed my cat!" Cameron comes up with his lame excuse and gets out of the room but not before whispering a 'good luck' to me.
"What's up with him?" Shawn chuckles with his adorable laugh. Damn this is going to be harder than I thought.
I take a deep breath and take a seat on my bed. Shawn follows my actions and sits next to me. I turn to him and am met with his chocolate orbs and breathtaking smile.
It's now or never.
