Three months later and we officially got our place together. We decided to get a house. More room, better for the pups, better in the long run, the list goes on. It's a nice neighborhood. A nice house. Three stories, two bathrooms, three bedrooms. A nice sized backyard for the dogs. Our special place is an hour walk now, but I feel like that just makes it even more special. The guys were happy when we told them about our plan.
We have yet to unpack. The boxes are just kind of loaded into one room right now, some scattered elsewhere. We bought a comfortable new mattress for the masters bedroom, obviously where we're going to be staying. We also set up our televisions, one in our bedroom and the bigger one in the living room. Our computers and game systems are set up too. That's about it.
I checked the time on my computer, it was currently 2 AM. I was playing a game, and I think James is watching television. I got up and stretched, enjoying the satisfying pop. As soon as I opened the door, I heard the soft music flooding the hallway. A smile grew on my face as I walked closer to the sound, my destination being the love of my life. He bobbed his head to the music being played from his phone, gently swaying his hips. He must've heard me because he turned around, holding his hands out.
"Come dance with me." He grinned.
I walked to him, placing a hand on his shoulder and the other holding his. He placed a hand on my lower back, pulling me close to him. We began to dance, at 2 AM on the kitchen floor in our socks. He held our hands up, spinning me around before catching me into a dip, connecting our lips. I stood back on my feet, placing my hands on his hips and his on mine. I leaned my head on his shoulder, slowly rocking with him in the middle of the room.
"I love you." I said quietly.
"I love you too." He responded. "Always and forever."
We continued our dancing, or rather our slow rocking, as James began to speak again.
He sighed happily. "Out of the 7 billion people in this world, you're the only one that I need. I can't believe how lucky I am to have met you. To have held your hand. To have kissed you. To have made love with you. To call you mine.."
I shut my eyes, hugging him tightly. "I'm so glad we decided to do this. Words can't describe how amazing it is. I love that you're the last thing I see before I go to bed, and the first thing I see when I wake up. I couldn't ask for anything better, honestly. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me."
His hand moved from my hip. I think he was wiping his eyes.
"Baby, what's wrong?" I asked him, leaning back to look at him.
He shook his head. "Nothing. Nothing at all. You just.. You make me so happy, Aleks."
I smiled. Hell, now I'm starting to tear up. "Thank you. Thank you for being you. Thank you for everything you've done for me."
"No need to thank me. You know I'd do anything for you. You are my number one priority. I'm never gonna let anything happen to my baby." He chuckled softly.
I kissed his cheek, grabbing his hands. "I can't wait to see what our future holds." I gently squeezed his hands. "Come on, let's go to bed. we'll unpack tomorrow. Here's to a new beginning."
James smiled, nodding. "A new beginning. A new chapter of us."
