Chapter 3 ~ Why...?

Natsu's P.O.V

After 3 days, Wendy was finally out of the hospital and I'm glad that she's okay. The only thing that I'm worried about is that girl that saved Wendy. Anyways, I got yelled at by my parents, well...my dad yelled at me. I thought that they would have forgotten about that, but I guess not. My dad slapped me across the face. I didn't say anything. I know that I deserved it. It was my fault. " Big Bro! " I heard my sister yell. I can tell that Wendy and Zeref were watching me getting yelled at. 

" Why didn't you watch your sister?! Your so careless! Don't you care about your sister's safety?! " My dad yelled. I didn't look at him. 

" What happens if your sister dies because of you?! What will you do then?! HUH?! " He just kept on yelling at me. 

" Honey, I think that's enough. " My mother said, trying to stop my dad. 

" How can you be okay with this Grandine?! " 

" Wendy is safe and she is fine. All thanks to that girl that saved her. All we could do now, is pray for that girl's safety. Who knows what happened to her and it is no one's fault. She probably saved Wendy because she wanted to. Okay? " My mother explained. 

" *Sigh* Okay... " 

" Tch!  Whatever! I'll be in my room. " I said, walking up the stairs. 

" Wait! Big bro! " I over heard Wendy yell as she walked up the stairs behind me. 

I entered my room and slammed the door. I laid on my bed and I face-planted my face in my pillow. I can hear tiny foot steps at the front of my door. " Big bro, mom is right. It wasn't your fault. It's no one's fault. Say, do you think we can see her...? I really wanna see her. *Sniff* I wanna ask her why she saved me and I wanna *Sniff, Sniff* thank her. *Sob* " I can now hear my sister crying. I stood up and I walked over to the door. I opened the door and there I found my sister crying on the ground. I kneeled down in front of her. I patted her head gently. 

" Maybe one day, we'll be able to see her and you can thank her. But, not right now. She's in a bad condition and we should pray for her. Okay? " I said to her. There was still tears in her eyes but yet, she was still able to smile. 

" Do you two really wanna see her so badly? " I looked to my right, it was my big brother Zeref. 

" Yes. " Me and Wendy replied. 

He walked over to us, " If you want, I'll take both of you to the hospital early in the morning tomorrow. But, you can't tell mom or dad. " 

Me and Wendy nodded. Hopefully, we are able to see her again. 

~The Next Day~

Zeref drove me and Wendy to the hospital. We entered through the glass doors. Then a girl at the desk said to us, " Hello there, can I help you with something? " 

We walked over to her and I asked, " Ah, yes. Were here to visit Lucy...um... " I forgot, I don't know her last name. 

" Well, we have a lot of patients named Lucy. What's the last name? " 

" Um...I don't know... " I replied. 

" Oh! " Then she looked at Wendy. " Oh, you must be looking for Lucy Heartfilia. Sorry, but you can't visit her. " She said. 

" Huh? Why not? " I asked, confused. 

" You don't get it do you? Lucy is in a bad condition and the doctor informed me that no one is allowed to visit her unless they are family. Clearly, your not. If you were, you would have known her last name. " She explained. Is she mocking me or is she trying to tell me that I'm stupid? I hate people like her. My hands turned into fists. 

" Natsu, Wendy, let's just go home. " Zeref said. 

" Wait. Can you at least tell us how she's doing? " I asked. 

" I cannot. That's revealing personal information. Sorry. " She replied. 

" Tch! " 

We left the hospital and we decided to head home. " Big bro, it's okay. We tried. " Wendy said to me, in a sad tone. 

" I'm not giving up. " I replied. 

Wendy smiled and she said to me, " Okay! " 

~Three Months Later~

We tried again and again, but there was always something or someone that would stop us from seeing her. At some point I gave up. I lost all hope. It was all over for me. I haven't heard or seen that blue haired girl ever again, until today. Me and my sister, we were walking in the Park and then we bumped into her. 

" Hey, aren't you the girl who was with the girl who saved me? " Wendy asked. 

" I have a name you know. My name is Levy Mcgraden and that girl that saved you was Lucy Heartfilia. She's my best friend. " 

" My name is Natsu Dragneel and this is my sister Wendy. " I said. 

" I see... Hello Wendy! " She said, smiling and waving to Wendy. Wendy smiled. 

" Say, do you know how's Lucy doing? " Wendy asked. 

" Well, she's...how can I say this...? Um... " 

" Is she okay? Did something bad happened to her? Is she out if the hospital? Can we see her? " I asked. 

" It's best that you shouldn't see her. She's been through a lot and I don't want anything else to bother her. Maybe, Fate will bring you and her together. I don't know. Now excuse me, I have to go. " She replied, walking away. 

" Wendy, are you okay? " I asked.

" I hope she's okay... " She said.

" Yeah...me too.... "
