Chapter 9 ~ Are You Lucy?

Lucy's P.O.V

Natsu wiped my tears away with his hand. He cupped my face with his hands and said to me, " Don't worry. I'm sure that you and your sister will be reunited. " I nodded, as he took his hands off my face. He stood up and he was heading out the door.

 " I thought you said you didn't want to eat with your family for lunch? " I asked and he stopped walking. 

" I'm not going to eat with them, I'm just going out for a walk. " 

" Why don't you stay to eat with me, Virgo and my mom? " I offered. He looked back at me with a strange look. 

" Nah, I'll pass. " He replied, facing the door. " Your mom might get mad at me, because she probably thinks that I made you be in a wheel chair. If you know what I mean. " He didn't look back at me and he was one foot out the door. 

" No. She's not mad. I talked it over with her while I was in the hospital. " I explained, " So, stay and let's have lunch together. " I smiled at him and he turned to face me. 

He let out a big sigh and he said, " Fine. I'll stay. " He sat back down on the couch and we watched some T.V., while we were waiting for Virgo and my mom. I looked down at my hands. I hope things will be okay in the end... 

~Flashback~

I slowly opened my eyes and I can hear the sound of birds chirping. I looked around, confused. I thought that when I couldn't feel my legs were all a dream, but it wasn't a dream. It was real. I slowly stood up and I noticed that someone was holding my hand. It was Levy. I tapped her shoulder and she slowly lifted her head. Her eyes widen and she held my hand tighter. " *Sob* Lucy! I am so sorry! *Sniff, Sniff* It should have been me! Not you! *Sob* " 

I patted her head and said to her, " It's okay. Please don't cry. It wasn't your fault. It wasn't Natsu or his sister. In fact, it was no one's fault. I saved her because she reminded me of my sister. So, don't beat yourself up because you think this was all your fault. Okay, Levy? " 

" *Sniff, Sniff* But, still. There must be something I can do for you? " 

" Just...promise me you would still be my best friend and that you will help me find my sister... Alright? " She nodded as I wiped her tears away. " Now, stop crying and smile. " And she smiled. Levy is the only person I can count on right now. 

~End of Flashback~

" Lucy, something wrong? " Natsu asked. 

" Huh? I'm fine. " I replied, as Virgo and my mom walked in. 

" Hello Honey, hi Natsu! " Mom said to us, as she took off her jacket. 

" Let's eat lunch! You guys must be hungry! " Virgo yelled, as she rushed over to the kitchen. 

" Natsu, why don't you help Virgo out in the kitchen? " My mom offered and Natsu let out a big sigh as he walked over to the kitchen. 

My mom sat on the couch and I asked her, " So, did you find out who was the person who almost hit Wendy? " 

" Oh! The police called me earlier today and they found who it was. They caught him and now he's in jail. But they asked me to go visit him because it was someone that I know. " 

" Really? Are you going to meet him? "

" I guess. "

" Okay. Did you hear any news about Michelle? " I asked, hoping for an answer.

She shook her head is disagreement. " But I am sure we will find her soon. "

After some time, lunch was finally served. We held hands and we prayed.  After that, we all ate. Natsu broke the silence by saying, " At my house, we rarely pray. " I put a soon full of fried rice in my mouth before I looked up at Natsu.

" Really? Why not? " Virgo asked.

" Sometimes my parents get into fights or me and my dad will get into a fight and I will lose my appetite. " He explained, in a sad tone.

" I see, so you don't get along with your dad, huh? "

" Yep. He hates me. " Again, silence filled the room and we all continued eating.

The next day, Natsu took me outside to the park for a walk. Well, Natsu is doing all the walking while he pushes me with the wheel chair. The weather today was beautiful and the flowers on the cherry blossom trees were blooming.

He stopped pushing the wheel chair when we were under a cherry blossom tree and he asked me, " Are you thirsty? I can buy you something? "

" Uh, sure. Can you get me lemonade? "

" Sure, I'll be right back. But are you sure that I can just leave you here by you're self? "

" Yeah, I'll be fine. I'm not a little kid you know! " I teased.

" I know, I know! But be careful and don't talk to strangers! " He yelled, before leaving.

" Got it! "

Now, it was peaceful. This place brings back so many memories from a long time ago. The Happy times I had with mom, dad and of course, my little sister. But now, they have been taken away from me.

I looked up at the sky. There wasn't a lot of clouds today, which is a good sign.

I wonder who was in that car, when they almost hit Wendy. I heard that after he hit me, the driver of the car left without even getting out of the car and helping me. I wonder who could it be...

I was deep in thought and then all of a sudden someone tapped my shoulder. I jumped a little because I was surprised. " Um, are you Lucy? " The girl asked. She had short white hair and she looked around the same age as me.

She stood in front of me and I replied, " Yes and how do you know my name? "

" Oh, that's right. You probably don't remember me. " She said. I looked at her with a confused face.

" My name is, Lisanna Strauss. I am Natsu's childhood friend. "

Childhood friend?!
