Chapter 10 ~ Childhood Friends?!

Lucy's P.O.V

" Who are you? "

" Me? Oh, I'm Lisanna. Natsu's childhood friend. "

I stared into her blue diamond eyes, confused. What did she mean by 'childhood friends'? Have they known each other for a really long time?

" Childhood friends? " I asked, aloud.

" Yeah! Do you even know what that is? " She gave a weird look.

" Hey, I'm ba-! Woah! What's going on?! L-Lisanna?! " Natsu asked, as he rushed over to me.

" Oh my~! It really is you~! I missed you so much Natsu~! " She then rushed over to Natsu and gave him a hug. Natsu seemed surprised but then he hugged her back.

I looked away. For some reason it felt like something hit my heart. Is this what they call 'jealousy'?

I looked back at them and they let go. " You should have told when you were coming back! How was America? " Natsu asked.

America?! Her family must have been rich! I mean-! To send her abroad?! Wow!

" Well, my dad and mom told me that I can go back here. Since we haven't seen each other in so long, let's hang out together like we used to! "

" Sounds great! "

She had her hands all over him. I gave them a strange look as they both left. He was still holding my drink and Lisanna was holding his hand. I know I should've called out to him but it seemed like he was smiling a lot. Maybe they have a really good history with each other. I shouldn't bud in. Plus, they would have been better without me.

I shrugged it off and I headed home by myself.

Virgo and mom took Wendy with them to run an errand. So it was just me and Natsu, left alone. I haven't said a single word to him. I was too shy to ask him about Lisanna. We were outside in the backyard and we watering the plants.

" Hey Lucy, are you mad at me? Is it because I ditched you yesterday and I didn't give you you're drink? " He asked, I didn't reply and I continued watering the plants. " Why won't you answer me? "

" Why don't you stop helping me and hang out with your childhood friend Lisanna?! " I yelled going back inside.

" So you're mad about that?! "

I went to my room and I carefully placed myself on my bed. I let out a big sigh. All of a sudden, I heard a knock on the door. " Lucy, we need to talk. Please. Let me in. " Natsu said.

" Just go home! Go hang out with Lisanna or do whatever you do?! Just go away! " I yelled.

" Lucy! I don't like you being like this! Please! Open the door! "

" Fine! " I slowly got back into my wheelchair and I went to the door. I slowly opened it and I saw Natsu. His arms were crossed and he gave me a weird look.

I looked away and fully opened the door. " You can come in. " I said in a sad tone.

He then carried me out of the wheelchair and placed me on my bed. He sat next to me and asked, " Tell me, why are you mad at me? Are you jealous of Lisanna? "

" I'm not mad and I am not jealous! "

" Are you sure? "

" Yes! "

" She's just a friend you know? " He then leaned closer to my face and asked me, " Why? Are you starting to have feelings for me? " My eyes widen and my heart just skipped a beat.

I stared into his eyes, not knowing what to do. But then, I pushed his face. " Ow! "

" Ew! Why would I have feelings for you! You aren't my type! "

He chuckled as he raked his hair. " I was just kidding! Do you wanna in know my story with Lisanna? " I nodded.

" Well, when I was in kindergarten, I was loud and I would always get into fights with the other kids. I easily break things too. I didn't have any friends and I was always sad. I did those things to get attention but I always ended up getting in trouble. But then, Lisanna came. " He explained looking down at the ground.

" Whenever I was crying or when I seemed I was down, she was always there to comfort me. I soon found out that we were next door neighbours. My family were on good terms with her family. But the difference between her family and ours was, her family was super rich while we weren't as rich as them. Sometimes I would go to her house to play with her on weekends or after school. Or we would go shopping or somewhere fun. Three years ago, her and her family moved to America for some business.  She ended up studying abroad too. Up till this day... She's still the same. "

" She must be very important to you... " I said in a sad tone. 

" Yes... Very... " 

Natsu's P.O.V - {Flashback ~ Back in Grade 5}

We were in gym class and we were wearing our gym uniform. We were playing volleyball and our gym teacher split us up into teams. Me and Lisanna, we were sitting out by the benches. I asked her, " Do you really have to go? " 

" Natsu, we talked about this already. I have to. Whether you like it or not. " She then looked back at me and our eyes met.  " I'm sorry Natsu... " I let out a big sigh. I know I can't do anything but I wish I can...

" Since this will be our last day together, I hope you have a safe flight here and back. I'm gonna miss you. Will you let me hold your hand? " She nodded, her face was red as a tomato. I slowly movedcloser to her and I held her hand. My heart was beating so fast.

" And as a thank you gift for everything... " I said to her as I kissed her on the forehead. I'm gonna miss her so much...

{End of Flashback ~ Lucy's P.O.V}

I bit my lip, trying to hide the pain. I snapped out of it  and I said to myself, 'Why should I be jealous? I mean-! I don't like him in that way!'

" Oh... Is that so...? " I said to him, trying to fake a smile and let out a big sigh.

'I wonder if I mean anything to him... Probably I mean nothing at all...'
