"So... I'm sorry about the comments I made earlier during that whole introduction thing."

Andy lifted his head from the restaurant menu to look at Ashley, cheeks tainting a dusted pink as he remembered briefly the few remarks. They had been sitting at the booth of a small local restaurant for only a few minutes, and he was already feeling flustered. With a calm glance out the window, Andy shrugged.
"Why are you apologizing?" He looked at him again and raised an eyebrow.
Ashley mimicked the motion and tilted his head a bit. "Because I was intentionally messing with you?"

"Oh."

That was really all that could come out of Andy's mouth, lips hanging slightly agape, and eyes staring at Ashley. There was no way. There was no way that after not even two hours of knowing each other that he was getting seriously hit on by Ashley Purdy.

"Close your mouth before I get us kicked out of this place.." Ashley murmured, leaning over ever so slightly with the most devious smirk upon his thin lips. Andy immediately closed his mouth and sat up straight. "I'm teasing, Andy. I'm not that bad." He chuckled with a casual eye roll as he leaned back.
"Oh- Right. Yeah. Of course, I knew that." Andy rubbed his eyes, sighing.

Ashley cocked a brow again and leaned forward again, hands resting above either of his elbows. "But seriously... Let's get out of here. I've kinda lost my appetite."
Andy frowned a little but nodded, and slid out of the booth seat to follow him out quietly. He didn't bother to ask where Ashley was walking, noticing that it was the opposite direction of where the party was still going on.

When he saw that the route they were taking was becoming more and more unfamiliar, Andy grabbed Ashley's hand. "Hey, where a-"
He was unable to finish his thought as Ashley pushed him up into the wall of the building behind him, shoving his lips onto Andy. It wasn't forceful, though. No, there was a gentleness; a tenderness to it that Andy had never experienced before. It sent a wave of warmth throughout his body, senses on fire, practically. It was almost unbelievable how unreal it felt, and yet it was. It was real. This was happening.

Ashley pulled back, leaving Andy to stand there with wide eyes, staring and gawking. He cracked a slight amused grin, with a hint of nervousness hidden behind it that slightly showed through. "I wanted to make sure I could do that alone... Sorry."
Andy's mouth closed and opened a few times in awe, completely dumbfounded where he stood, before managing to utter a small phrase that he had uttered one too many times that evening.
"Oh."
Ashley chuckled softly and pecked his lips. "Is that all you can say?"
"Uh- no! No, it's okay, I- Sorry, Jesus, wow, I was not expecting that, and it took me by surprise, sorry." Andy babbled, running his gloved hand through his hair.
Ashley smiled fondly at him and gazed into his eyes. For a moment, Andy felt like he was looking into the eyes of someone destined for him; like a soulmate of sorts. Like they knew every aspect of each other inside and out; fears, ambitions, passions, and everything in between.

"There's something so familiar about you... I can't put my finger on it." Ashley whispered softly.
Andy smiled a bit as well. "I'm sure it's just the...first kiss butterflies." He murmured in response.
Ashley shrugged and kissed him again, this time with absolutely no force, and all fond, tender passion. Their lips fit together almost perfectly. It was astounding how passionate and loving a kiss so soon like this could be. Andy never imagined this could ever happen, especially to someone like him.

"Andy..." Ashley breathed when he pulled back.
"Yeah?"
"I need to ask you something... And I wouldn't ask if I didn't really, really feel like this was meant to be."
Andy opened his eyes slowly, blue meeting soft brown and his knees weakening ever so slightly.

"Of course..." He whispered.
"Will you move in with me?"
Andy's jaw nearly dropped.
"Will I wha-"
"Just think about it... I just... I have this gut feeling that this is all how it's supposed to be. Y'know? Us..." Ashley murmured softly, kissing his nose softly and sliding a hand into his pocket. "There. My number."
Andy was too stunned to really say much but 'okay,' and watch Ashley leave. He pulled the napkin out of his pocket, reading the scribbled out number. When did he even think to write this out?
Whatever. It didn't matter. Right now, Andy needed to get home and really, really think.

A/N: Currently 9:53 PM, sitting out on my friends back deck (I'm house-sitting ayy), listening to the Life is Strange soundtrack, with a small dog sleeping beside me.
I felt inspired to write. It's not good, albeit, but it's something. Sorry it's shorter than my usual chapters. <3 I have some stuff in mind that might make this run longer than I was intending? idk we'll see
