Chapter Three.

Avis frowned when he felt the sharp pain in his chest. And one thing ran across his mind.

His brother. He'd beaten him, but Avis wasn't going to give up yet. The firebird wasn't dead yet. He could feel him. He just had to get to him before his brother takes him away. Again.

He closed his eyes teleporting into the building in a matter of seconds. He reappeared in a hallway just as his brother made a turn in the corner. With one of his demons following behind with what belonged to him, his creation, thrown over his shoulder.

"And where do you think you're going?"

Kriel smirked coming to a stop just a few feet away. He knew not to get close. Even if he was the eldest brother, it did not mean Avis couldn't hurt him. And if given the chance, he would.

"Hello to you too dear brother...it's been long, hasn't it?"

Avis just gave him a deadpan stare. He was used to his brother's taunts. Once upon a time he hadn't expected his brother's betrayal. But now, all he wanted was to get back what is his and he didn't care who he hurt in the process. His naivety was his downfall once, he was not going to let it deter him again. Not this time.

"A few hundred centuries, but I hoped it would have been longer," he answered not taking his eyes off his brother. He also made sure that he could see the demon in his peripheral vision.

Kriel nodded before tilting his head to the side, listening...

"You brought company little brother, afraid to face me on your own?"

Avis didn't react when the dragon and the wolves filed-in behind him. His focus was on the witch getting closer from behind the demon. But he knew his brother probably sensed him too. Though it didn't matter. Avis needed a distraction and this was the only way. When the witch grabs Kriel's attention, he'll make his move.

The witch sent a blue blast at the demon making him loosen his grip on the firebird. Kriel turned around just as the witch got a hold on the young man, snatching him from the demons arms. And that's all the distraction Avis needed. He waved his hand sending his brother against the wall. The vampire zoomed past him and within seconds had the witch and the firebird behind him.

"Leave brother, this time won't be as easy as the last time," Avis warned his brother as Kriel regained his footing.

But he just grinned. "That'll make it all the more fun, won't it? See you soon little bro... Oh and dad said you should visit some time, hell isn't the same without you," and with an annoying smirk Kriel disappeared.

Avis sighed in irritation. He wasn't planning on going home any time soon. Until he was sure that the firebird would be safe. He doesn't trust Kriel one bit, he's sure his brother will make his move the moment he left.

"Let's go!" They all walked out of the building and into the awaiting cars.

In HQ, the agents woke up. Some from the floor and others from their desks. Disoriented. The question on all their minds...
