Bang!

The sound itself caused me to jump upright in bed. I was alone and only one of the French doors were open. Another loud crash sounded causing me to jump. I ran a hand through my hair and climbed off the bed.

“Shit!” a sweet sounding voice expressed. I smiled to myself and opened the door before stepping out of the sleeping area. Adelaide’s back was to me in the kitchen and about four or five pots and pans were in a pile on the crème colored tile. I watched as she put her hair up frustratingly and then went to pick up the mess.

“Morning,” I said, leaning against the island. Adelaide jumped and then turned to look at me. Her cheeks were flushed and she looked like she was having a hell of a morning.

“I didn’t mean to wake you,” she said quickly. I shook my head and walked over to her. “I was going to make pancakes! To thank you for the trip! Instead I ended up dropping everything!” I hushed her by resting my hands on her shoulder and rubbing softly. She moaned softly and I leaned into her ear.

“How about we order room service?” I asked. Adelaide nodded and smiled brightly. “I’m sure the menu is around here somewhere.” We began opening every drawer in the small kitchen until Adelaide held it up in the air.

“Found it!” I smiled and she went over and sat on the couch. Sitting beside her, we both looked over the menu. They had everything from fancy cooked eggs to Captain Crunch. Adelaide chewed her lip while she read over the menu causing me to become distracted. “Did you hear what I said?” My eyes traveled up to hers and I shook my head, smiling.

“Not really, no,” I said honestly. Adelaide rolled her eyes and swatted me with the menu.

“I said, ‘do pancakes still sound good?’ These ones come with different fruits.” She pointed to an item on the menu.

“Sounds good to me,” I said, not really caring what we ate. Adelaide made me call and order it all the while playing with my messy hair.

“You need a haircut,” she whispered while I was still on the phone. I shook my head and she nodded, smiling.

“Okay, thank you. Bye,” I hung up the phone and mockingly played with her hair.

Someone knocked on the door while I was in the shower. A slight panic washed over me until I realized we’d just ordered food. I had to constantly remind myself that no fans knew where I was for the time being.

“Niall! Pancakes are here!” Adelaide called cheerfully from outside the bathroom. I shut the water off and threw on the clean pair of Calvin Klein’s I’d brought in with me. “My eyes!” Adelaide dramatically covered her eyes and fell onto her back on the floor. She’d been sitting there with the tray of food in front of her. I rolled my eyes and sat beside her.
