I walked out and was ready to go, we all walked across the street into the Curtis house everyone was there, Sodapop and Steve were getting ready to go work at the DX, "Hey Baylee GoodMorning how are you", Sodapop said, "Oh I'm doing fine thanks", I said back softly, Steve was eating cake, then he came up behind me tap my shoulder, I turned around and he asked if I wanted some cake, "Oh no thanks Steve I'm not hungry", "Ok Come on Steve we are go to be late", Said Sodapop, right before they walked out, Sodapop smiled at me, "Hey Baylee you should come down at the DX later today",He winked at me and I smiled, "Ok" I said smiling at him, PonyBoy rolled his eyes in disgust.
"PonyBoy", He looked up at me and smiled "Uh later wanna go with me to see Sodapop at the DX"? "Yeah sure, He said happily, Johnny butted in, "Can I come too", "Of corse" we all smiled at each other.
Me, PonyBoy, and Johnny walked to Dairy Queen, we all got medium cookies and cream ice creams and ate them out front of Dairy Queens on the curb, When we were done we walked to the DX, we walked in Steve was at the counter watching the T.V, He looked over when we walked in he smiled at me and jumped over the counter and walked up to us.
"Hey Baylee, He said with a smile showing his messed up teeth, He looked behind me at PonyBoy and Johnny "Oh it's you two" he said annoyed and disgusted, they just rolled there eyes at him, "Where is Soda", I asked confused, Steve looked at me with one eye brow up, "why you wanna see Soda" he asked curiously, "Just where is he I said" he pointed over at this door on the side of the DX, I opened it, it lead out to a small garage on the side of the DX.
Soda was under a car but he did not hear us, So I had a plan to scare him, "Hey guys come here", we all huddled together, "On the count of three we are going to all scream under the car, they smiled "ok ready" we all bend down, he still did not see us, "Ready" I whispered, One,Two,Three, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, He jumped and he hit his head on the car, all three of us fell down dying of laughter, My stomach started hurting and I had tears down my face because I was laughing so hard, same with PonyBoy, and Johnny.
Steve ran in the back, "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG" "Johnny was laughing still, "We scared Soda".
Soda slid out from under the car, "Hey it's not funny" soda said madly, "Yes it was", PonyBoy said, I walked up to Sodapop he smiled, "Hey" I said, he smiled, "Hey he said, "That was not funny" Soda said, "It was cute Soda" he smiled and blushed, "You think I'm cute", "Yeah" I said flirtatiously.
"I think your cute Baylee, Your adorable", I blushed
After a while we all sat and talked until their shift was over, then we all walked back to the Curtis house.
