Chapter 6

We walked back to the Curtis house and walked in Darry, Dallas, and Two-Bit were watching T.V Mickey Mouse of corse with Two-Bit, "Hey" The three of them said, Darry stood up "Hey you guys I'm going to the Drive in down the street who wants to go?", everyone said "me"except me, "I don't really feel like going do you care if I just stay here instead", "Sure" Darry said, Sodapop looked at me then back at Darry, "Uh I'll stay too", Soda said, I smiled at him, "Ok let's go guys", Said Darry as he went to his room to get a jacket, PonyBoy looked at me, "Hey you to don't do anything while we are gone", said Pony, I smiled and rolled my eyes jokingly, then they got in Darry's truck and left.

I was sitting on the couch then Soda came and sat next to me, he turned on the T.V we watched my favorite movie, "Grease" Halfway through the movie I was getting tired, Soda grabbed a blanket and put it over me and him he cuddled with me and I laid my head on his chest.

"Hey Baylee can I tell you something", Soda said softly I sat up "Yeah what is it" I got kinda nervous, "Uh... I really wanted to say this earlier but I just got scared, but I like you a lot" Hey said kinda happy but nervously, I smiled "Aw that's really sweet Soda, I like you too". He smiled then I laid back down on his chest.

I slowly closed my eyes then opened them, but I could not keep them open I slowly closed them.

Until the door swung open, everyone walked in seeing me lay on his chest, PonyBoy looked like some just shot him in the heart, I felt bad so I sat up, "Oh hey guys" I said calmly, Darry said "Hey" while walking to the bathroom to take a shower. Then Pony just gave a small smile then went to his room and closed the door.

"I feel bad" I say to Soda, "Why?" He says confused, "For PonyBoy because I think he likes me and he saw me you know laying on your chest and it might make him feel uncomfortable.

"Oh... Well you wanna go make sure he is ok?" Soda said firmly, "Yeah Sure why not" then soda uncovered me and helped me stand up, "I'll be in the kitchen if you need me ok" then Dallas, Johnny, Steve, and Two-Bit all sat on the couch when we got up.

Soda walked to the kitchen, then I walked up stairs standing in front of Pony's door.

I softly knocked on it a few times it opened.

"Hey Pony"I say calmly, He lightly smiles "Hey Baylee" he said softly, "Can I come in", "Yeah of corse" He says happily, We both sat on his bed, he stared at me and I stared at him but I could not look in his eyes for a long time or I would smile to much.

"So when you walked in and you saw me and soda, you looked sad and I wanna make sure that your ok, and me and Soda are not a thing you know what I mean and..." I was cut off PonyBoy leaned in and kissed me for about seven seconds he pulled away and smiled and said, "Hey you should get going its late and I don't want you getting in any trouble I'll walk you home ok" "Ok" I said softly my stomach felt like I had a million butterfly's in it my face was a little red.

He stood up of the bed and grabbed my hand to help me up, we walked down stairs, Pony yelled in the kitchen "Hey Darry I'm walking out to take Baylee home" "Ok" he said back but when we got off the porch, "Hey my house is across the street I think I'll be fine" I said with a giggle, he said "No, I wanna take you somewhere" he said grabbing my hand and pulling me "Yeah what about my mom what if she gets worried?" "Nah see knows your with us you'll be fine just have some fun, chicken" he laughed and teased me, "Fine come on let's go" I say annoyed but Jokingly.

While we were walking down the street to where ever we were going, Pony grabbed my hand and locked his fingers in mine, I feel my face turn red, we keep walking until we are at a hill we sit up on this old ripped up couch that's under a tree on the hill, while we are sitting, theres a small breeze, "Its cold" I say he grabs me and pulls me in close and puts his purple jacket on me, "ThankYou" I say, with a smile, he smiles back, "This view is so amazing and beautiful" I say with a surprising voice, he looks down at me because my head was on his chest, "yeah and that's why this view reminds me of you" I look up at him into his eyes he looks into my eyes also.

He leans down and kisses me more and more, then I sit up we then start making out a lot, I was actually enjoying it.
