Its time, Moving Day, I'm a bit nervous but I'm excited for my new school. I hope there is hot boys there. At my old school, all the boys were gross and ugly. Anyways, I go up stairs to help my mum pack. " Maya, go pack your stuff please, I've got this room covered". By the way, Im Maya and that was my mum Katy. My dad left when I was young, I always feel its my fault but my mum tells me otherwise. I start packing up my stuff when I see a photo of my dad and I. I through it into the rubbish bag because i want nothing to do with him at the new house. My mum walked into the room. " Maya, honey, Are you ready to go?" She whispered. "Yes" I replied. I pick up my box of stuff and slip it in the back of the car. I run back inside to check if I forgot anything. I see the picture in the bag that I'm leaving behind. I grab the photo out and stick it in my shirt then run back outside to the car. Mum starts the engine and we head off. Its the worlds worst car trip ever, its so boring. I grab my notebook and my pencil and draw my surroundings. Hopefully, this car trip is over soon. I see a sign saying "John Quincy Adams Middle School, Next Left". " Thats your new school Maya" yelled my mum from the front of the car. I didn't reply because I was to busy looking at all the buildings. I see another sign saying "Subway Station, in 20 metres". Im starting to get excited. I see a small apartment at the end of a street. It looked really run down so i was relieved that we drove past but then my mum started reversing the car in that houses driveway. " Oh no, this is terrible!" I whispered to myself. I jumped out of the car with my stuff and ran inside. Its a 2 bedroom house with a small kitchen and 1 bathroom. "Its small but its good for us" said my mum while she carried her stuff in. Its 10.30 at night now, so i just unpack my stuff and get ready for bed. My mum just quickly went to get some groceries for my school lunch on Monday. I just sat on the lounge watching tv until mum came home. We both went to bed at 11:00 pm. Im excited to discover the new city tomorrow.
