"Your mother called. You didn't tell her you were sleeping over and she was wondering where you went," Gina's mom smiles at me and offers me a glass of orange juice."Thank you for telling me, I can't believe I forgot," I grin back and take the orange juice from her.
We woke up from our slumber only an hour ago, and now we're all seated at the massive breakfast table, and waiting for Gina's mom to pass out our food that she cooked while we were still asleep.
"I told your mom I can give you a ride to school. In fact, you girls should give your moms a call to let them know I'm dropping you off at school," Gina's mom says seriously, addressing the group.
"Yeah, I doubt my mom cares," Madison says softly so that Gina's mom can't hear. We all give her sympathetic glances, because we all know how her mom can get.
"Madison, I hope you know that we're all here for you, okay?" I whisper, taking Madison by the hand.
"Yeah, you know we always have your back, right?" Gina comes in and rests a hand on Madison's shoulder.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Madison mutters sharply and stands abruptly. We all watch her storm away.
Before you start, Madison's mom is in no way physically abusive. Verbally? Yes, sometimes. Only when she is not focused entirely on her work. Madison's mom is a Marketing Manager, and she's very good at it too. Only problem is she never takes time away from work to realize she still has a daughter. We all know this really affects Madison, but she never wants to talk about it.
Madison's dad died in the army, and ever since then Madison has been completely alone, except for us of course.
"Sometimes I really worry about her," Gina says sadly.
"Girls, come on! The car is ready!" Gina's mom calls out from somewhere in the distance.
"Yeah, me too," I say.

The ride to school is silent, except for the pop music playing on the radio.
Six minutes later we finally arrived at the school and got out of the grey Lexus car.
"Guys I'm sorry I snapped at you like that, I don't know what came over me," Madison tells us sincerely.
"Don't worry about it Mads," Gina gives her a hug.
"Come on, guys, group hug," Gina smiles at Avery and I. Avery and I go in for the group hug.
"Come on, let's get to class," Aver says, wiping a year from her eye.
------------
Walking down the hall with my best friends is like something out of a movie. People stare and gape as we walk by, and nobody dares stand in our way.
We stop at my locker, so that we can talk for a bit before we get to class.
"I like your jacket today, Bonnie," a timid girl comes up to us.
"Aw thanks," I smile at her, and she swoons. She blushes and runs away.
"Bonnie, nine o'clock," Avery informs me. I turn and see Jack walking towards us.
