The "thing" I wanted to show Nathan was the drama kids table. I figured their strange taste in music would enable them to look beyond Nathan's quirky personality. That means Nathan gets new friends, I get extra credit in science, and my girls won't have any more... episodes.

Everyone is happy; it's a win-win-win situation.

"Uh.. Bonnie what is this?"

"Hey! Sam!" I say, ignoring Nathan. Sam looks up and smiles nervously when she sees me.

"Hi, I really want you to meet my good friend Nathan. He's new here, and he desperately needs new friends. Do you think you can help him?" I smile sweetly.

"Let me guess," Sam loses her smile. "You got stuck with him through a favor, and now you want to get rid of him through us."

"No way, that's not-"

"Look save it. Nathan, you can hang with us. You don't want Bonnie as your friend anyway."

"Wow, okay, rude!" I scoff at her.

"Is that true?" Nathan asks me looking hurt as hell.

Omigod it's not that serious...

The rest of the day went by really quick. Jack showed the next period, saying he had a doctor's appointment. The classes were super boring, but soon enough, the sixth period bell rings to signal the end of the day. I pack my bag up, and check my phone for any new messages. I look up just in time to see Jack leave the classroom door.

What is up with him? I wonder.

I find my girls parked in front of the school, talking about who knows what. They smile and say hello as they notice me walking closer to them.

"Hey guys, have you noticed that Jack has been acting strange recently?" I immediately say what's on my mind.

To my surprise I see my girls exchanging suspicious glances.

"I never noticed anything," Madison says.
