"Mom, are we almost there?" Emma asks.
"Yeah, just a little longer sweetheart." Mary Margret replies. "Are you excited to make some new friends?"
"I guess, but I'm going to miss my old friends too."
The rest of the way there Emma sat quietly in the back seat starting out the window. She didn't want her parents to know, but she was actually really nervous about moving right in the middle of high school . She was afraid that no one would like her or that she wouldn't fit in at the new school.
"We're here." David said, interrupting Emma's thoughts.
They pulled into the driveway of a light blue house. It had big windows, and there was a big oak tree in the front and another but a side window. Emma hopped out of the car and ran inside to check it out. It was really big and quite spacious. She walked through all the bed rooms before kicking her shoes off and lying down in the middle of one.
This is my room. She thought to herself. She had chooses the side room with the large oak tree by the window. She loved the little bay window and it had a large closet. There was also a bathroom connected to it.
"Emma, can you help unpack please?" David called.
After putting her shoes back on she walked back outside and carried some boxes in. When she went back out to grab her last on she saw some kids that looked her age watching in the yard next door. "Go say 'Hi'" Mary Margret told her.
Emma shyly walked over to the kids. "Hello." A pretty brunette girl greeted. "So you guys are the new neighbors."
"Yeah. My name's Emma Swan. What are yours?"
"I'm Robin Locksley." said a tall boy with dirty blonde hair replied. "I live behind you."
"I'm Regina Mills." the girl replied. "And this is Killian Jones." She gestured to the boy standing next to her.
" 'Ello love." Killian a dark haired boy, with an Irish accent said.
"Well it's nice to meet you guys." Emma replied. "What grade are you guys in?"
"We'll be sophomores." Robin answered.
"Me too," Emma smiled.
"Emma, dinners going to be ready soon!" David yelled over.
"Oh, I have to go. I'll see you guys around."
"Emma wait," Killian stopped her. "We were going to head to the park tomorrow after breakfast, do you want to come?"
"Sure." Emma replied before running home.
When she got inside her parents had dinner on the table, so Emma quickly sat down. "How was it? Were they nice?" Mary Margret asked.
"Yeah, they were really welcoming. They even invited me to the park tomorrow morning." Emma replied before taking a bit of her grilled cheese.
"That was nice." David said. "Just make sure and be back by supper."
"I will." Emma replied.
After finishing dinner she went to her room and got ready for bed. She then sat down on the bench in the bay window a read a book until she hear someone yell her name. She out the window and saw Killian. He was standing in the window next door. "Hi Emma." He waved.
"Hey." Emma replied.
"I'm going to come over okay." Killian said before climbing out the window and into the big oak tree. He then quickly made it over to Emma's window and crawled inside.
"Well that's convenient." Emma laughed.
"Yeah. It's nice." Killian replied. "I'm really glad that you moved here. You seem really nice."
"Thank you." Emma replied.
"Plus, Regina could really use another girl around." Killian teased.
"So, how long have you guys known each other?" Emma asked.
"Robin and I have known each other since we were toddlers. Regina moved here when were about six or seven." Killian replied. "But we're all super happy that you're here."
"I was really nervous about moving, but not anymore." Emma said. "You guys were all really welcoming."
"I'm glad, but I better go, see you tomorrow." Killian replied before climbing back out the window.
Emma went to lay down on her bed and feel asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.
