Who Are You?

The next morning Emma and Killian were woken by a loud shriek. They both jumped up from the chair to check who has made the shrill noise. Killian had completely forgotten about his rib so he fell back in the chair doubling over in pain. Then there was another shriek. Emma looked over to the hospital bed to find Regina flaying her arms around trying to push Robin away. She managed to punch Robin before he could get away.

"What is going on?" Emma asked.

"Who are you people?" Regina yelled. 

Two nurses hurried into the room to figure out what was going on. "Is everything okay?" One of the nurses asked.

"Who are you? Where am I?" Regina asked. Robin stepped closer to her, in an attempt to calm her down. "Get away from me!" She screamed. 

"Miss please calm down." A nurse said. 

"What's going on?" Regina asked. 

"Regina, it's us." Emma said.

"And who the hell might you be?" Regina asked.

"I'm Emma, your best friend." 

"I'm sorry I don't know you." Regina said sadly. She then turned to Robin. "Why were you sleeping with me? Who are you?"

"I'm Robin, your boyfriend. We were all in a car crash. You were in a - " Robin said before he was cut off by the doctor.

"Can I speak to you three in the hall?" 

Emma, Killian and Robin all followed him outside as the nurses tried to comfort Regina. "What's going on?" Dr. Johnson asked.

"We don't know." Robin started. "I woke up and Regina started yelling at us and asking who we were, and where she was."

"It sounds like Regina has amnesia."  Dr. Johnson sighed.

"Well fix it!" Emma yelled. "We're not going to loose our friend."

"Amnesia doesn't work like that. It will take time for her memory to come back, and quiet frankly, it may never come back." 

"This can't be happening!" Robin said before storming off. 

"Robin! Wait." Killian said. "I'm going to go make sure he's okay." 

As Killian hobbled off after Robin, Dr. Johnson lead Emma back into the hospital room. Regina was sitting on the bed while the Nurses talked to her and ran tests. "Hello. My name is Dr. Johnson. Can you tell us who you are, or remember anything?"

"Um, my name is Regina Mills, but I don't know who you guys are or where I am." Regina said softly.

"Okay, well Regina, you were in a car crash with your friends. You have a broken arm, a few cracked ribs, and a fractured ankle. You just woke up from a coma." 

"Oh," Regina sighed.

Dr. Johnson quietly told Emma to talk with Regina and see if any thing would jog her memory. Emma nodded and was slowly helped to sit by Regina. "Hi Regina, I'm Emma Swan." She started. 

"Hi."

"I know this is going to sound weird with me telling you about who you are, but can you just bear with me?" Emma asked. Regina slightly nodded so Emma began. "Well, you're my best friend and we live right next to each other. We do everything together, and Killian and Robin are always there. They live right by us. Killian and I are dating, and the guy that was sleeping next to you was Robin. Robin is your boyfriend. You guys have been dating for three years now. We were actually driving to one of our many double dates when we go in the crash."

"Oh, what happened?" Regina asked.

"Well, for what I know a car slid on the ice and crashed into the side of the car we were on. It hit at your door, which is why you were in a coma." Emma sighed.

Regina sat there in silence not knowing what to say next. She wanted to apologize for putting them through all of this, but how could she apologize for something she didn't remember?

Emma figured that it would be best to let Regina rest for a while so she left the hospital room to find Killian and Robin. They were sitting in the waiting room exchanging sad looks, not knowing what to do next. Emma wheeled herself over to them before stopping next to Killian. 

"So, what do we do now?" Emma asked quietly.

"I don't know." Killian replied.

They sat there mopping in silence until Dr. Johnson came over. She sat down with them before saying, "I know that this is tough on you guys, but the best thing you can do is to help try and jog her memory. I gave her some medication that will help, but it may not bring her memory back. The most important this is to give her time and to be patent with her."

"Thank you." Emma replied.

Dr. Johnson was soon pulled away to take care of another patient. Not long after Robin stood up and said, "I don't have time to be patent, I my need Regina back. Now!"

"Robin wait," Emma said trying to stop him.

"Emma, just let him go." Killian said as he help her hand.
