It was the day after Robin and Regina's wedding. Killian and Robin had just finished packing up the U-Haul trailer. Emma and Regina were sitting in the shade of the tree in Emma's front yard, just like they did when they were kids.
"Well, we better head out, so we don't end up driving in the dark." Robin sighed.
"I'm going to miss you guys." Emma said as she tried to hold back to tears.
"We'll miss you too!" Regina said pulling Emma into a tight hug.
Robin and Killian gave each other a quick bro hug. Robin them hugged Emma and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek, and Killian did the same to Regina.
"Just promise that when you become a famous actress, that you won't forget us." Emma cried.
"Never," Regina smiled as she wiped away the tears.
Regina and Robin slowly walked to their car and drove off, waving good bye as they left. Killian and Emma stood there in silence as they watched their best friends drive off. They where truly lost without them. Regina and Robin had always been there. Now, they were just gone.
"And then there were two," Killian sighed sadly as he pulled Emma close to him.
"What are we going to do without them?" Emma asked looking into Killian's ocean blue eyes.
"I don't know, but we'll get through this, like we always do. Together." Killian said.
"I love you," Emma said.
"I love you too." Killian replied as he pulled her into a small kiss.
Weeks passed and Killian and Emma had barely heard from Regina and Robin. They sent pictures of their apartment, but that was about it.
Today, Killian and Emma where moving into their own apartment. It was small, but cozy and it was perfect for the two of them.
"Killian? I think we need to talk." Emma said as she sat down on the couch.
"Usually, when a conversation starts like this, it isn't good." Killian replied nervously. "Are you regretting moving in with me?"
"No, It's actually the opposite. I think we should take the next step, I think I want to get married." Emma said as she grabbed Killian's hand.
"Normally this is the other way around, love." Killian laughed. "But, I agree, you just beat me too it." Killian then dropped down on one knee and pulled a ring out from his pocket. "I was planning to do this after we had finished unpacking and after a nice dinner, but I guess now works. Will you marry me, Emma Swan?"
"Well, I think you already know my answer." Emma smiled as she jumped into his arms. "YES!"
