Chapter 7: They're not here

Milo's P.O.V.
Before the both can find us, we hid in the church.
"Are you okay Lucille?" I asked her, since she was pressing her heart.
"I think I feel a heartbeat." She tells me. But in a moment, I feel also a pain the chest. A heartbeat, I suppose.
"What could this mean?"
"I don't know."
I hugged Lucille in hopes of no one would hear us. Then I kissed her passionately.
I didn't want to hurt Dylan. I just wanted him to be safe.
She kissed me back. And passionately until we fell on the floor.
"I can't believe that this happened." My girlfriend says.
But we hear a sound.
Voices.
"They are not there." The girl must have found out.
Lucille's P.O.V.
They must be blind as a bat. They can't even know they were here.
Me and Milo ran to the end part of the church.
"Run, hurry!" I told my love.
Dylan must have heard our steps.
Or not.
To be true, I know Dylan. I watched Milo for a long time in his Northbrook home. When the success was continuing, I saw Dylan that day.
He was wearing his typical shirt and jeans.
I know Milo had feelings for him. I had also.
And that day they broke up, I began having mixed emotions.
When we got to the dead end, I knew that I had to tell him.
"We escaped, Lucy. Finally."
I had tears and a smirk on my face.
He noticed it.
"Milo, I know. "
"You know what?"
I took his face and kissed it. I have him all my memories, the hiding in his Northbrook place.
"You knew?"
I nodded.
"And you know what? I liked him too."
"So we're even?"
"Yeah."
He hugged me again.
I look outside, and finally they left.
Not a clue.
"We can go back." He said.
"Sure."
